The aesthetic is beautiful—it was probably the most thoughtfully designed place we stayed during our entire trip. Every piece of equipment and utensil felt curated with great care. It felt less like a standard hotel and more like a refined inn above a high-quality restaurant. It was also, by far, the largest room I’ve stayed in in Japan (lol). All the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. I must specifically mention the breakfast: it was the best we had across this tour of 11 cities!!! The seasoning of every ingredient was perfect. If we had more time, we absolutely would have returned for lunch. I highly recommend this place if you are a foodie.

The villa is located in the mountains, in a very quiet area, yet quite close to the lake and the bus stop. The sauna in the house was an amazing opportunity to relax, as was the comfortable bathtub. The bed was very comfortable, and the blanket was warm and cozy. The owner was very kind and even left us some local sweets — that was such a lovely gesture.
