The area is very calm and quiet, but there are still restaurants, shops and a convenience store in the vicinity. The house itself was clean, all amenities were provided as described and it has a nice traditional style. Also very nice and helpful were the hosts, who were very accommodating regarding my arrival and departure times (and regarding a less than stellar japanese proficiency on my part).
