Room also comes with air conditioning if selected. You have a great private balcony that you can watch the sunset from daily. You can rent all of your travel plans and all excursions right from the hotel for a low price. The location is great due to being on the opposite side of the island from the port. You can still get over to all the party bars in just a 5 min walk but you don't have to hear the action from your room. My wife got sick while in Don Det and the staff did everything to make our stay as good as possible including letting us add an extra night last minute for a very fair rate. Top notch place and very relaxing

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, and I had my own private bathroom. I felt comfortable staying with Nicolas and his family. What makes this homestay truly special is Nicolas deep local knowledge. He knows Pakse, the Bolaven Loop and Champasak extremely well and shared countless tips, including non-touristic places and his own custom maps. This was a huge advantage for my travels and something you rarely find elsewhere. If you’re looking for a place with a personal touch and genuinely helpful local insights, I can highly recommend this homestay.

Coming here feels like beeing invited to the family, or a circle of new friends in a wild garden. You can connect over the shared meals, board games, boule, communal sunset watching every evening. The Hosts Alex and Laymon actively support the initiation of common activities. Still, if you retreat into the cabin, you have privacy. Breakfast is one of the best I had in Indochina, and every Dinner is a unique experience of best authentic Lao food. The private beach is small, but completely sufficient for the small island community. If you feel like going out, someone will bring you over for free in no time. Else you can chill in one of the many hammocks and just let the world flow by.

DON DET Souksan Sunset Guesthouse and The Xisland Riverview Studio ligger i Ban Donsôm Tai och erbjuder boende med trädgård, terrass och bar samt gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. The location couldn't be beat: Right on the very tip of the island with beautiful sunset views, a cooling breeze, and lovely hammocks right outside the rooms and under a big tree for during the day when it was hot. Also has nice gardens, and it's private, and quiet. Xai is delightful as are all the staff. A special note: They provide cold water in a dispenser in the restaurant. It is much appreciated that I did not have to use the plastic bottles provided!!! Thanks Xai and y our family for caring about the environment.!
