This is an excellent choice if you want to stay at Playa Carrizalillo (the best beach in Puerto Escondido!). The apartment is very spacious and was spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfortable with a great mattress and pillows. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. The kitchen was well-equipped if you wanted to cook, plus had a big garrafón of drinking water. I had to do some work while there, and the wifi was excellent, there is also a TV with Netflix. There is a nice pool area to relax in. The hosts are super kind and helpful, really lovely people. The location is great, really close to the restaurants and beaches. I highly recommend this place, and are planning to return.

Casa 821 Guest House is a recently renovated homestay in the centre of Oaxaca City, 7.4 km from Monte Alban and 46 km from Mitla. It is set 1 km from Oaxaca Cathedral and features a concierge service. The accommodation offers full-day security, and luggage storage for guests. Great accommodation. We didn't see any staff but the communication is very friendly. The room is very nicely designed and has a GREAT shower. One of the better location we had in Mexico.

Surprisingly they gave me an upgrade, room with terrace, was so nice! You wake up every morning hearing birds and waves. It’s right on the beach, major plus, the service is nice. It’s a quality place, so no noise or kids, which made the trip super relaxing.

They provided basic things for the kitchen like tea coffee and salt and pepper and salad dressing and cooking oil which is super handy when only staying a few days. The hosts also were flexible with our check out. Which we didn’t need in the end but was really nice. Best bed and pillows we slept on since arriving in Mexico.
