Casa 821 Guest House is a recently renovated homestay in the centre of Oaxaca City, 7.4 km from Monte Alban and 46 km from Mitla. Excellent communication before and during my stay. Very clean and spacious room and the host was very helpful with offering me a late check out.

Situated 400 metres from Mazunte Beach, YAM HOTEL offers 4-star accommodation in Mazunte and has an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was good for Mazunte. Many things walking distance.

A recently renovated property, Siento Oaxaca is set in Oaxaca City near Santo Domingo Temple, Oaxaca Cathedral and Central Bus Station foreign buses. The attention to detail in the flat was beyond anything I have seen before. The staff were extremely responsive on whatsapp. Lock box to enter extremely effective especially as we arrived at 1am. The area is charming and a ten minute walk to the centre of town.

Situated in Puerto Escondido, 43 km from Punta Cometa, CasaPiedra features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. Friendly, helpful host. Great pool and room space, great beach access and beach walking.

Located in San Andrés Huayapan, 17 km from Monte Alban, Huayápam Yù'ú Lodge provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We loved our stay at Fernanda & Fernando’s lodge boho-chic style in the middle of flowers, greenery and eclectic decorations. We first stayed in a double room then moved for the last 2 nights to the room with king bed and kitchen, which is a worthwhile upgrade. The hosts and their staff work hard to keep this huge compound welcoming and clean, it seem to have further expansion plans. We could not use the beautiful pool as water was a bit cold (normal during this season) and did not eat at the restaurant as it closes at 5-5.30pm, too early for us after spending the day visiting the region. The village of Huayapam is an excellent surprise. Great location just 30min from Oaxaca center and easy starting point to visit Monte Alban, Mitla, Arrazola, Hierve el Agua and so many other fascinating places. Tiny but super cute with amazing restaurants, esp the family run Luz de la Luna (we live in Peru and the food and cocktails are at the level of some best Lima restaurants). Huayapam and its friendly inhabitants are worth being much better known and supported! Mil gracias y suerte!!!

Situated in Zipolite, 300 metres from Zipolite Beach, COCOS HOTEL features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking and a garden. Loved the pool. The staff were great. It was lovely manicured gardens. Free coffee all day. Quiet end of the beach close to playa del amor but 20mins walk to the main restaurant area. Nice view from.balcony. Many places closer to town are ridiculously expensive. This was great value.

Casa Gitana features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a private beach area and terrace in Chamuscadero. Casa Gitana was incredible. We stayed for 4 days and hardly left the villa. The rooftop pool is comfortable with the best view. They also offer breakfast and lunch specials which were delicious. Highly recommend. It’s about a 10-15 min walk into town but it’s beautiful and you pass the turtle sanctuary where they do daily release of the baby turtles.

Hotel Bendita Luna is situated in Mazunte, within 5.2 km of White Rock Zipolite and 7.8 km of Umar University. A cozy little hotel, a way from the busy street but still walk king distance to the beach. The owner was very welcoming and gave us some good recommendations. Will recommend this hotel to others for sure
