Stunning setting and views. We were warmly welcomed by Antonio and Cristina. Both hosts could not do enough for us. The hotel is brand new and set on the banks of the Douro. Stunning rooms - very highly appointed. Superb spa. Gracious staff. Fabulous food. We could have stayed longer. The whole place is an island of serenity. We will return.

The location was great, the room and facilities were exquisite, and the staff was exceptional. The breakfast was perfect and we loved every minute of it.

We loved the reception by Mrs Julia, who was very kind and friendly. She gave us tips on restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed the wineyard at the bottom of the hotel and that we were allowed to walk around at any time. The place is very calm and quiet, perfect for a escape from the city hustle and bustle. Mr Jose was also of extreme kindness setting us up with a lovely boat tour through Douro on my bday. We had just asked where we could arrange for the tour and he went all the way calling the person and helping us organize. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff was really attentive. We highly recommend a stay with them!

Rather than simply listing the things I liked, I want to express my sincere gratitude in this letter. Thank you for waiting for our arrival  in the rain and for welcoming us with such warm and gracious hospitality. I would also like to pay tribute to your elegance, Madame, and to the care and refinement with which you maintain this lovely accommodation. It is truly unfortunate that, due to our schedule, we can stay only one night. I will be sure to introduce this charming house to our friends in Korea and gladly recommend it to travelers passing through this area.

A wonderful place that had everything that we needed. Special mention to the bed and pillows as they were very comfortable!

Quiet, spacious and wonderful hosts. They took the time to show us around the property. Very friendly hosts. They gave us great recommendations for dinner places. We enjoyed the pool, and we even had a taste of fruits they grow on their property. The family room was spacious for 5 people, beds are very comfortable and bathroom is gorgeous. The continental breakfast was served with homemade jams they make themselves. Lots of personal touches which we loved. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
