We had a truly lovely stay at Casa Velha do Palheiro. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our visit. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic building, full of character, with a fascinating family history and surrounded by gorgeous gardens. The views from the Golf Club were fantastic, and the food at the restaurant recommended by Michela was absolutely delicious. The breakfast buffet was also wonderful, with plenty of choice (eg exotic fresh fruits selection) and a very pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it was a charming and memorable stay. We would love to come back.
