Studios by Aqua Natura Hotels ligger en kort bit från Porto Moniz naturliga havsbad av lavaklippor och erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende med en terrass, en bar, en balkong och gratis WiFi. Place was lovely, very modern clean rooms, everyday cleaning service, air conditioner. We’ve been welcomed with sparkling wine and left with goodbye gift. If you have a birthday, you may count on a sweet surprise. There was a mini bar, kitchen with microwave and electric plate and small fridge, also espresso maker with excellent quality of coffee, kitchen utensils allowed for some cooking. The view showed surrounding hotel and ocean in the distance. I really enjoyed the 2 min. walk to the rooftop restaurant for breakfast because the view is amazing from there. The breakfast offered wide variety of products and meals, with porridge and some things for sandwich ( cheese, ham or marmalade/nuttella, home-made yogurt). There were also couple of positions a la carte and lots of sweet options. Coffee was also of great quality. I can’t comment on most of the meals because I am vegan and none of the meals a la carte was vegan, also it was possible to eat a sandwich only with marmalade or tomato/pepper for me the rest was just cheese and ham. I saw many people including my partner enjoyed that a lot, but if you are following vegan diet it may be cheaper to skip the breakfast option and buy yourself pack of oats and fruits because coffee is in the room anyway. However, the restaurant view was outstanding and I quite enjoyed that restaurant anyway. They always had a plant based milk so at least a porridge and fresh maracuja. The roof jacuzzi looked autor louring but I didn’t used it, bathing robes are included though as well as a daily ticket to natural swimming pools. We preferred a bit more the cachalote pools that were nearby so didn’t use the it but is is a very nice option closer to the hotel. The hotel also offers spa and massage if someone wish, as well as a little cowork area if you work remotely. WiFi was also excellent. In general, it was excellent and I would totally recommend to everyone to stay there.

Det 4-stjärniga Aqua Natura Madeira erbjuder eleganta rum med utsikt över Atlanten i fiskebyn Porto Moniz, 45 km norr om Funchals centrum. Här finns även en bastu. Staff was nice, location was great, pool was awesome.

Detta designhotell är en renoverad traditionell bondgård uppe på en klippa med utsikt över Atlanten på Madeiras sydkust. Ponta do Sol har en fantastisk infinitypool och badtunna med panoramautsikt. Helt fantastiskt ställe. Utsikten, poolerna, frukosten allt var så bra.

S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal ligger i Machico, 5 minuters promenad från Pedradeira strand, och erbjuder utsikt över staden. Great place with all necessary staff for travellers. A lot of cafes and restaurants just in a few minutes walks. Pedro is a super friendly and active host, who gave a plenty of local recommendations and directions. Coffee machine with the capsules did my mornings happy)

Quinta' Home ligger i Ribeira da Janela, 5,6 km från Porto Moniz naturliga havsbad av lavaklippor, 40 km från Cabo Girão-klippan och 41 km från Santana's Traditional Houses. Vacker fridfull plats med fantastiska vyer. Vi hittade en fin spektakulär vandring från platsen och det går en zipline från andra sidan dalen som är kul att se. Mkt modernt och avskalat inne i boendet men mysigt att sitta precis utanför.

Panoramic House ligger i Ribeira Brava och erbjuder boende med trädgård, gemensam lounge och terrass samt gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. All that you could want in a guesthouse from the customer service, the size of the room, the amenities and the cleanliness. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The location I great for exploring the island outside of Funchal.

Casa do Avô erbjuder en balkong med utsikt över bergen, en trädgård och grillmöjligheter, och ligger i Ponta do Sol i närheten av Praia do Lugar de Baixos och 14 km från Cabo Girão-klippan. Super, super clean, well appointed accommodation with ocean views, wild style garden and all the amenities necessary for a comfortable, relaxing family stay. Great host who was easy to communicate with. The only drawback for a person who is mold sensitive like myself was the humidity smell in the downstairs bedroom. Something that seems to be pretty ubiquitous on an island with so much water everywhere.

Sunset Star with Sea View ligger 2 km från Praia da Calheta och erbjuder boende med en balkong och gratis WiFi. Bra balkong, och det fanns allt man behövde i köket.
