Definitely recommend a visit to anyone wanting an adventure in this fabulous part of Senegal.

The room was lovely as well as the beautiful garden. It is in a great part of Senegal , you feel like you are part of the village. The hosts are warm nice people ready to help with everything!

Celine and Gilles are fantastic hosts, staying with them feels like being invited into their home rather than just renting a room. Their hospitality, friendliness and warmth creates a wonderful atmosphere where every guest feels welcome. Having one table where guests and hosts gather for breakfast and dinner is a great way of getting to know each other and to share stories, experiences or tips for activities in or around Toubacouta. And there is a lot! Celine and Gilles have been an invaluable help with arranging the various trips for us, both canoeing in the mangroves, a boat trip to a bird island, an excursion to the Fathala wildlife reserve and much more. All food is prepared at the guesthouse by Celine and her staff and it is nothing short of outstanding. The jam is homemade, the yoghurt is homemade, the honey is local from the mangrove... and the three-course dinners are pure luxury. Every day! I even got a birthday cake and "Happy Birthday" sung in four different languages on my birthday. This is exactly the kind of guesthouse we are looking for on our travels and we are incredibly happy and thankful to have found Keur Niaye.

We really liked the B&B in general but were especially impressed with the excursions that were offered. David gave us a guided boat tour where we visited the small nearby island towns of Sipo and Missirah and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jenny was also very helpful with the logistics (especially because I don't speak French!) and helping me organise our time in Senegal. El Hadj is their taxi driver and we organised pretty much our whole trip throughout Senegal with him - he was fantastic. And there are a few restaurants nearby with delicious food. The breakfast offered at the B&B was delicious. Thank you!

Excellent stay, beautiful location, wonderful trips organized by Hakuna Lodge, very nice and friendly staff, overall we enjoyed our visit very much.

Beautiful environment with superb views over the river from our room. Food good and service efficient and friendly. My husbands birthday was during our stay and I arranged for a cake as a surprise. A large ice cream gateau with sparklers was presented with singing and dancing from the staff which was fabulous.

There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Campement Courbine is a perfect place to enjoy the nature and relax. Morris, the owner, is just a perfect host. Super responsive, super attentive and helpful. He even helped us out when we had a medical emergency in the middle of the night! We were to leave very early that day and so Morris was already woken up waiting for us with our breakfast. Incredibly kind and selfless man! The area is very nice - you basically stay in a little home in a garden with a restaurant and swimming pool within the premises. We didn't use the swimming pool just because we were too lazy but it's totally there and we liked hanging out there. Another advantage of Morris' place is also that it's in a very quiet area but not far from the village where you can find whatever you need :) (except for ATM but that's generally an issue in Senegal countryside). Morris also organized a visit to Mar Lodj which was very reasonably priced and arranged literally the day before in the afternoon :) We were super happy to have stayed in Compartment Courbine!
