Located in the middle of nowhere, it provides you with much needed distance from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. You are just a few minutes driving away from classic Star Wars filming locations and the accommodation itself fits well into the Berber surroundings. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good and the rooms were cozy. A bonus: the stars in the sky were beautiful, since there is not that much light pollution around. The drive to the hotel is incredibly scenic.

Habib and his family were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The dinner and breakfast were also (by far) the best meals we've had during our entire 10-day trip across Tunisia. It is very well decorated and equipped. We had everything we needed such as coffee machine, plates, washing machine, hob, airconditionning and heating, duvets and towels. We felt spoilt with the fresh breakfast delivered to our door, we had a variety of food that kept us full all day along with coffee and fresh juice. The area is super safe, we walked around at night, and it felt very safe. The host were very kind and helpful, the let us in and kept asking if we need anything, we felt very welcome. There are great restaurants and coffee places few minutes away. It is highly recommended to stay in this luxury spot to explore Matmata, and to visit the Troglodyte homes and to discover the impressive veiws of the mountains around. The flat has great views over the mountains. We will definitely come back again to discover the whole area around Matmata.
