Our cottage was extremely neat, clean, functional and tasteful. The garden is incredibly beautiful! The location is perfect and within walking distance of the town centre. The owners were available and gave us lots of tips about places to eat and attractions in the area. They also brought a lovely bottle of wine for my husband to celebrate his 70th birthday. We will definitely stay here again and again.

B'fast was fruit juice, amazing muesli and sausage and eggs and a few bits and pieces. The worker (very pleasant lady) who brought the b'fast enquired if she should set the outside table but I said I would sit inside as weather cool. There was a table to eat at in the studio. Accom was good quality, clean and well designed for max space. No propblems there. Easy to find 1 km off N2 about 3 km south of Kroonstadt. I suggest phone when you turn off the highway to ensure you stay on correct unsealed but well maintained road. Variety of and plenty accomodation so probably would get in at last minute. Host Veronika pleasant and switched on. Plenty of thick bush and riverine habitat. Saw large herd of springbok and about 5 Sable antelope. Security appeared to be good.

What really made the stay special were the hosts. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely interesting, they made us feel like more than just guests — more like old friends passing through. We left feeling rested, well-fed, and grateful for such a memorable stop on our journey. Highly recommended for anyone needing a peaceful break in good company.
