The hostel was amazing, the facilities were very clean and you can use them whenever you need. Ryohey was such an amazing host, he knows many good spots around Izu, he also gave me directions to get to some of them (thanks my friend). If I am around the area again I'd definitely stay here.

Opened in February 2018, GOTEN residence is set in Fujinomiya and offers accommodation in a remodeled 80 year old wooden villa. Guests have the entire villa to themselves during their stay and free WiFi is available throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site upon prior reservation. Great authentic traditional Japanese style home. So comfortable, new and easy to use. Washing machine and dryer were also super handy. Easy walk to the Mt Fuji Museum. We wished we had stayed longer.

The young man looking after us and our room was absolutely amazing. The staff were very flexible about us needing to change the breakfast time. Highly recommend.
