The staff at reception were very freiendly and responsive. The parking was behind the hotel making it easy to manage arrival and departure. The breahfast was good and there were many food options close for other meals. The showers had really good water pressure.

We loved our time at Hakuna Matata. The staff were so wonderful. We loved all of The excursions. They felt organic and genuine. We felt like guests rather than tourists. The sounds of the jungle were beautiful. The property really nice, clean and super comfortable. I highly recommend. It superseded my expectations.

We loved our stay at Kuyana, the location is amazing, surround by the jungle. The rooms are huge and make the most of the amazing surroundings, I loved sitting on the terrace watching the butterflies and humming birds. We enjoyed the waterfall walk accompanied by Edison who was very knowledgeable and friendly, and also Romona the rescue woolly monkey who hitched a ride on my husbands shoulders, she’s adorable. We also took the Amazon safari day trip which we enjoyed, especially the canoe around the lagoon and visit to the rescue monkeys on the island. Highly recommend for 3 nights.

There is no better place to stay than here. When we arrived in Tena, we realized one of our phones were left on the bus with no way to track it. We were later contacted by someone who demanded ransom. The owners of the hotel took almost 2 days of their time to help us get it back, driving around town to track it down and confronting the thieves. Thanks to them we can continue our trip. On top of this, we got a free upgrade to a bigger room. The lodge is a paradise with amazing nature, clean pool and warm jacuzzi, great food in the restaurant and amazing day-trips arranged by the hotel. A true wow-experience during the whole stay. The rooms are exactly how you want them in the Amazon. Do not miss this place! Easy to get there and back. Regular bus traffic right outside the facilities.
