United KingdomEverything was perfect! We arrived much earlier than expected but got access immediately.
The property was incredibly spacious, really beautiful, everything was clean and tidy with a beach theme.
Honestly, the best thought-out layout we've seen in a private rental. Susana and her husband were brilliant hosts.
The pool was much bigger than expected and very welcome as it was so hot. The shaded patio had a large L-shaped sofa, there was an outside dining area for seven people and a couple of sun loungers.
Street parking was easy but there is a double-length indoor garage if you prefer.
If you want to cook, there is a full size kitchen upstairs or a barbeque area and grill spot near the pool with two sinks and fridge-freezers on both levels so you don't need to go up and down.
Toilets upstairs and down.
Everything we needed was provided: pool towels, toiletries, tea/coffee, washing machine/dishwasher tabs.
TVs everywhere! Outside on the patio, in the upstairs lounge and in both bedrooms.
Fans everywhere too: patio, garage, lounge, kitchen and main bedroom plus aircon on the top level where the four single beds are.

Food in the restaurant was also excellent. The pool was really great. Honesty bar was very reasonably priced and welcome. Dogs were made very welcome. The whole place was relaxing with a chilled vibe and great historical touches.

We had a fantastic stay and would happily return. The villa was spotlessly clean on arrival and very well equipped, especially the kitchen, which had everything we needed as we cooked most days. The fully stocked outdoor beer and water fridge was a wonderful touch after a long day of travelling and immediately made us feel welcome. Communication with the host was excellent throughout. We don't speak Spanish, but WhatsApp's translation worked for us, and the host was always friendly and helpful, providing links to local supermarkets, restaurants and places to visit. The outdoor areas were one of the highlights for us. We spent hours relaxing by the pool, sitting outside enjoying the views across the fields, and watching the local wildlife, including goats, donkeys and small birds that occasionally swooped over the pool. The pool was clean, refreshing in the summer heat, and the lack of mosquitoes made spending time outdoors especially enjoyable. The location is peaceful, private and wonderfully quiet, exactly what we were looking for, while still being only around five minutes drive from a supermarket and about thirty minutes drive from Córdoba. The air conditioning worked in the living area and the bedrooms, which was very welcome during the hot weather. We've stayed in a lot of family villas over the years, and we all agreed this was genuinely one of our favourites. It struck a wonderful balance between comfort, privacy, relaxation and practicality, and made for a truly memorable holiday.
