What a lovely place, just up the road from the water temple (beware of the narrow bridge on the road outside) We had the roof top room looking over the pool and rice paddies, could not fault it. Staff were attentive and sweet. Nothing was a problem. The restaurant onsite was nice, but a bit pricey. If you are on a budget there is a lovely Warung just up the road opposite the entrance to the water temple.

Love this place more every time, and have visited many times. The location is perfect: who would not love to have a water garden for a front lawn? And the cottages are uniquely charming. The decor is so not hotel! They are delightfully idiosyncratic, and always make me wish I knew the owner. Windra, our host, is always delightful and goes out of his way to make our stay perfect. It is convenient having a reasonably good restaurant with a great view right next door. we cannot wait to go back again!

Ketut and his wife are the perfect hosts. They have a lovely home set back I'n the rice paddies. The room is upstairs with a great view over the rice paddies. There is a balcony. The room is very clean and well appointed with double bed, seating and table ,kitchen with sink and fridge. The bathroom is semi outdoor . Big window with a view. There is an airconditioner There is an outdoor pool which is filled with fresh spring water without chemicals and changed regularly. Ketut has an artistic flair which has produced wonderful mosaics. Really worth a visit.

GumiBali Villa is a beautiful homestay surrounded by rice fields with a volcano looming in the distance. The host, Made, and his family are lovely, gracious, and generous. The grounds are lovingly tended, the home-cooked meals delicious and plentiful. From a small side road you walk along a drainage canal to reach the house, adding to its remote charm. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The main room is very spacious and there is a terrace with a day bed and small table and chairs set. The house pool is perfect for a relaxing dip after a long hot day of running around. We had lovely chats with Made and he shared fruit from his trees with us…passion fruit, oranges (beware of these they are sour, we had a good pucker) and fresh coconut !! We are grateful to him and his family for making us feel welcome and at home. If we ever make it back to Bali we will definitely return to GumiBali… and if not, it will always be in our hearts. Highly recommended for anyone traveling through this area and interested in a warm, unique, and memorable experience.

I stayed in Villa Di Bias for 5 days. The location is unique, with a stunning view of the rice terraces although keep in mind it’s rather far from the most touristy areas of the island, located on the northern eastern part. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast that was included, especially the fruit platter with exotic choices. The best part of my stay though was the warm hospitality provided by Dina, Widia, Yuda, Komang and Made. They arranged the transport from and to the airport, they arranged a Balinese massage inside my room and they were always pleasant and ready to assist. Thank you once again.

I was lucky to find this place. Initially, I thought of staying here for a couple of nights, but ended up staying for a couple of months. The owner is a very attentive and kind person. He helped with all the questions, introduced me to friends who live in the neighborhood, they treated me to chicken soup and local palm wine. Ketut also took me to a local ceremony associated with the Galungan and Kuningan holidays, the temple is very close to the villa, and to immerse yourself in the atmosphere, you just had to walk a little to the road. This is the first place in my 4 month stay in Bali where I felt so good. The villa is located in a very beautiful area of Chandi Dasa, wherever you are going to go from the villa, it will be beautiful everywhere. Rice fields, mountains, and beaches that can be found very close to the Villa. The villa itself has a pool, own kitchen, shower, toilet and is located in a very quiet area. You will meet other tourists here very rarely, which I like. You can book the option with breakfast included, the breakfasts are very large and tasty, so I recommend this option. I am very grateful to the owner Ketut for such hospitality, this is the coolest place on the island! Even when my booking was coming to an end, Ketut helped me with finding accommodation in the area, which is very nice.
