Very modern, stylish and clean. Everything felt new and fresh. Great location and beautiful view. We loved that they offer free water to fill up your water bottles every day. Sustainability is important at this hotel, which we think is fabulous. Best breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel in Malta. The staff at breakfast, especially Marleny, was so kind, happy, and helpful. Gluten free bread and cereal available and oat milk for us dairy free travelers. Lots of restaurants for dinner nearby. Shopping and (rocky) beaches close by. All in all, everything was great!! We would gladly stay here again!!

Staying at 1926 Les Bains was, quite simply, one of the most exceptional hotel experiences we have ever had – and that is not hyperbole. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is not merely a new hotel (opened in July 2025), but a meticulously designed, flawlessly executed vision of what modern luxury hospitality should be. Everything about the hotel feels fresh, refined and intentional. The building itself strikes a perfect balance between contemporary elegance and a subtle nod to Malta’s rich architectural heritage. Interiors are immaculate, calm and beautifully cohesive, with a sense of space and light that immediately puts you at ease. There is no trace of “new hotel teething problems” here – instead, everything operates with the confidence and polish of a place that seems to have mastered hospitality from day one. Our room alone deserves its own standing ovation. Spacious, perfectly soundproofed and finished to an exceptionally high standard, it felt more like a private wellness retreat than a hotel room. The highlight, without question, was the private sauna in the room. We used it regularly, and it became an integral part of our daily rhythm – a luxurious ritual that transformed our stay into a deeply restorative experience. The sauna was impeccably designed, easy to use, and maintained at a perfect standard of cleanliness and comfort. This level of in-room wellness is rare, and at 1926 Les Bains it is executed to perfection. Comfort extends well beyond the sauna. The bed was supremely comfortable, the bathroom felt spa-like and indulgent, and every detail – from lighting to temperature control – worked seamlessly. Nothing felt accidental or overlooked. This is a hotel where you can sense that someone has genuinely thought about how guests live in the space, not just how it looks in photographs. The service, however, is what truly elevates 1926 Les Bains into a league of its own. The staff are simply outstanding.

Very very nice and cute apartment with a terrace from which you can see a beautiful view. The apartment is in a wonderful historical place, with good communication and a wonderful owner who is very helpful. We will definitely come back, because we fell in love with Malta, Birgu, the are where is apartments and we really liked the apartments. We highly recommend it

The location is simply unbeatable. The place is exquisitely decorated and all the rooms are comfortable and beautiful. The host was very accommodating and help us to arrange a taxi to the airport as well as providing recommendations.

I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful apartment. The interior is stylishly finished, with special mention to the elegant parquet wooden flooring that adds a warm, welcoming touch. One of the highlights is the spacious terrace—perfect for lounging in the sun and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The location is ideal: just a short walk to both Bormla (Birgu) and the Kalkara waterfront, yet tucked away in a quiet, serene neighborhood. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Five stars—highly recommended!

Nice apartment with a good location. Close to shops, restaurants, and places to visit. The owner was very helpful; when I had a problem with the eco-contribution payment, she helped me a lot. A very pleasant and stress-free time. I recommend it.

The house is huge and beautiful. And the roof terrace has its own pantry, which is great. The main kitchen is beautiful and spacey. This house is large enough for a family with 4 kids. There are some really nice restaurants in the area.

Clean apartment with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and great air-con.

The breakfast terrace is just phenomenal! I can't imagine a more beautiful place for breakfast in Valletta.

The hotel is well located and within walking distance of the attractions, restaurants and bus station. It's on one of the few streets where cars are allowed, so you don't have to drag your baggage from the taxi or bus. We weren't disturbed by traffic noise. All the staff were very friendly, smiling and willing to help make our stay enjoyable and we were made to feel part of their family the moment we arrived. Reception is 24/7 (unlike other boutique hotels) which was great for our late arrival. Edwin and Maximilian spent considerable time to explain the history of the hotel and the island. We chose an inner courtyard room which had original stone walls and was beautifully decorated. - AC worked well - good water pressure for the shower - very comfortable bed and pillows - Nespresso machine - coffee capsules and bottled water replaced daily - excellent wi-fi reception - TV had some international channels - no noise from the street Rooms and suites on the higher floors have superb views of the harbour. There's also a swimming pool and sun loungers for all guests. Breakfast is continental with a very good choice of cereals, cheeses, cold meats, croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fruit juices and prosecco. Every day there was a selection of different cakes, warm egg-muffins and other tasty pastries cooked by the chef Kloida. Overall an excellent stay and we'd definitely return and recommend to our friends.
