The host was very helpful. The property was beuatiful. It is very close to the airport so it was a little bit loud when you steppend outside, but inside and in the bedroom is was peaceful and quiet. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

I liked absolutely everything, the penthouse is very comfortable and spacious and cosy, there is everything you need for relaxation. The owner of the apartment gave all the necessary instructions on how to get into the apartment and was always in touch.

A very cosy, modern apartment for two people, with an exceptional outdoor terrace — perfect for spring and summer. I loved the contrast of the small apartment and the huge terrace (a pity it was winter during my stay!). Everything I needed was provided, and the place felt comfortable and welcoming. A €100 deposit is requested, but it was refunded without any problems once the property was checked after my stay.

Location and Transport
Malta International Airport sits between the villages of Luqa and Gudja, around 6 miles (10 kilometres) from Valletta, Malta’s capital. A 20-minute taxi ride is the easiest way to get between the airport and the city, with a fare of around EUR 17 to Valletta. Another option is to take the X4 bus to Valletta, which can be accessed right outside the Arrivals area. The bus runs from around 06:00 until 11:00 and passes through the airport every 20 or 30 minutes, depending on the time of day.

The closest hotels can be found just over a mile (around 2 kilometres) from the airport, and some provide a shuttle service on request. Luqa is a quaint, tranquil village very near the airport. There are regular bus services to Valetta, so it is easy to get around. I enjoyed the low volume of traffic and there were enough stores and street vendors to buy everything I needed.

There's a Lidl, the neighborhood has interesting architecture. I was there in December off season for a night and it was pretty empty and there were no shady people. Walked to the airport at 4 AM or so, completely empty streets.

The location was close enough to walk to from the airport. I was in the middle of one of the villages and an had great character.
Other villages were in easy walking distance and if you needed cabs they were quick to respond.
The property was really well maintained, very clean and had what was needed for a base to explore from

Central location with good bus service to airport and other areas. The area itself is quite residential but an easy bus ride away from Valletta, Birgu and other areas where attractions are. Quieter at night time but still has food options to buy yourself or to eat out. The church is astonishing.

We didn't get to see as much of the town as we wanted, since we only stayed 2 days and bused into Valletta and Mdina both days. But in Hal Saflieni we visited a pastry shop with absolutely delicious food, and a grocery store where an employee immediately struck up a conversation with us in Italian and was super friendly. I would have loved to explore longer!

We stayed in Qormi, Malta for 4 days and found it to be a great base for exploring the island. Qormi has a more authentic local atmosphere compared to the tourist areas, with traditional streets, bakeries, and friendly residents. It was easy to reach other parts of Malta by public transport while enjoying a quieter environment. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Qormi to travelers looking for a genuine Maltese experience away from the crowds.

The other visitors were taking buses to visit this gorgeous Cove, we were there! The boat trip was fabulous and the view from the tower was incredible. Swimming in the cove was amazing! Meeting people, locals & tourists.
The few shops sell everything you need and the restaurants/cafés/bars are so inexpensive.
