had a great one-night stay at South 32 Hotel. The room was very clean, modern, and comfortable, with a really nice layout and a relaxing atmosphere. The balcony and sea view were a big highlight — perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the calm. Everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully set up. Check-in was smooth, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location in Birżebbuġa is convenient and quiet while still close to the promenade and nearby places to eat. Overall it was excellent value and I would definitely stay again.

I have to say that my stay at the beach house was the best of all hotels in Malta the reception Mera was amazing how she welcomed us and was there for us I couldn’t ask for more also Valentina the best waitress ever!! Everyone who worked there was just amazing as well I will definitely recommend this stay at any time even I liked it so much my next visit to malta will be in that hotel for sure!! Also to mention the food and the drinks are amazing really no need to go outside

First and foremost the host. A very lovely lady who was always ready to help us. The property was located very near the bus stops, so getting around the island wasn’t a trouble. Shared bathroom was always kept very clean and our room was checked and cleaned regularly.

This apartment was fantastic it had everything we needed, really comfy beds lovely bed covers too, everything was spotless! And it was so handy to have kids beach stuff already there too, the owner was very helpful. I also think this had the nicest terrace and beautiful views! We also drove around to the top 3 beaches in malta and I don't think they were a patch on our little pretty bay beach. If we ever go back to malta again I would definitely book this apartment again!

I loved the location because it was peaceful when we wanted...

I loved the location because it was peaceful when we wanted it to be, but “hopping” At times as well. The beach, restaurant choices, grocery stores and Pastizzerias we more than adequate. My wife would have preferred a little more “nightlife” or attractions, but we easily travelled via bus or Bolt to where we wanted, so it wasn’t a deterrent. We always felt extremely safe. And people were exceptionally friendly.

Prior to Covid, I was a regular traveller to Birzebuggia and...

Prior to Covid, I was a regular traveller to Birzebuggia and stayed in the " Seabreeze" hotel - now the new " Sand Dune". I noticed a huge improvement in street cleanliness - ie lack of litter! The locals in Birze are very sociable, kind and always helpful. Being a lone traveller I do feel safe. The sea front facilities for the general public and their families will be first class once the ongoing improvements are completed. A good bus service to Airport/ Valetta and the Hospital ( if needed) - bus fare only €2! and there are up to date easy to follow time tables on the bus stops. Local eateries good and reasonably priced and very good evening promenade walks- even a leisurely walk all the way round the bay to Marsaloxx!- Mosquitos can be a problem in the very hot summer months !

Birzebuggia is an interesting area because of the famous pre-historic Ghar Dalam cave which is close to the town centre Pretty Bay is the cleanest beach however swimming areas further along the promenade could be cleaner because there was some rubbish being washed up in the seawater

Birżebbuġa is a chill, authentic Maltese seaside town — quieter than the busy tourist spots, with a nice waterfront, great local food, and an easy base for beaches like Pretty Bay and quick trips to Valletta and the south of the island.

Not your normal seaside holiday resort.

Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.

The town is well situated and easy to access from the airport. Buses are regular, so other parts fo the island are easily accessible. There is a small sandy bay which is great for families. They have life savers, a wheelchair ramp down to the water, water buggy and chair lift for the disabled. There is a wide, modern promenade which includes sporting and exercise facilities, a stage and restaurants dotted around this area. The restaurants hardly offer traditional/typical maltese food (burger, pasta and pizza was the on offer everywhere) and the night life is non existent. The available facilities are not used to their full potentional sadly.

Took this at the last minute to have a hotel close to the airport. The place is great bang for bucks near marsakloxx and the airport. It has a rooftop with a small pool, enough to cool down after a hot day. Breakast is a decent small buffet.

The cots for the children were the best cots we have ever had in a hotel, not the pop up travel cots but large wooden cots with proper mattresses like the ones we would have at home and were suitable for our 5 month and 2.5 year old

Lovely little suite in the quiet back of the hotel. Charming 😍 Good breakfast. We had to leave early on our last day and kind staff packed us breakfast to go and delivered it to our room the night before.
