Absolutely stunning property, larger than life, lovely pools, but the food at all the restaurants and buffet was some of the best I’ve had in the world. The spa was exceptional as well.

My husband and I stayed 5 nights in one of the king suites. The room was clean and welcoming and you can’t beat the incredible views. It felt very private and The bed was comfortable. Our favorite feature was the large sliding door which opened wide to make the large patio part of the living space. We booked a couples massage in our room and that was lovely. From the moment we arrived to our departure the staff was attentive, helpful and friendly. Basalto is located between two accessible beaches with a short walk and they have towels, chairs and umbrellas if needed. The staff booked us taxi rides when we asked and they were always on time or early. It’s a quick 10 minute ride into Punta Mita. The breakfast option included in the stay were plenty and delicious. I wanted to bag up some of the homemade granola it was that good. The lunch and dinner was fabulous! We travel quite a bit and this is some of the best food we’ve had on our vacations. Try the grilled shrimp and Baja tacos!! The cocktails were so refreshing and tasty and they had plenty of wine options as well. We enjoyed the upstairs pool, deck and bar with expansive views. It’s the perfect place to get some sun, watch the ocean, the birds flying and diving, read a book, and cool off in the pool. There is a small gym that has enough to get a quick workout in, but we preferred a run or walk on the beach. We would absolutely not hesitate to recommend Hotel Basalto and we hope to return there again sometime soon!

Amazing property, stylish, cozy details makes feel cozy. Very clean and beautiful views, especially from 2nd floor, where you get to see ocean from the bed. I really loves the area on the top floor with fully equiped kitchen, tables to eat and beautiful surroundings to enjoy view, even book shelf, some board game and binoculars were there. Loves the quality of everything in the house, e.g. bed linen was sooo nice and soft, tasty coffee, drinking water and very nice shampoo and shower gel! Seems like there was a lot of heart put into preparing the place for guests :)

Everything was perfect!! The setting, the property, the staff, the food, the amenities were all exceptional!! One of my new favourite places and definitely for my kids too!!! The entertainment staff especially Javuer and Aidee were the best!!! The Explorer Club staff were also utstanding! The staff was great. We had a small issue in the room (it was a bit dirty and humid) but they quickly reacted, fixed the problem and gave us free massages for the inconvenience. The pool was awesome, the food was really good (surprising for an all-inclusive), my kids loved Star Camp and the people staying at the hotel were good. Great option for family vacations!
