The photos are amazing but actually don’t do it justice, it’s even better than it looks. The view is stunning and it’s really quiet. The house is spotless and it has everything you could need and not just in terms of the items themselves but the quality of items was very good (from towels to wine glasses, it was all high end). You can have food delivered to your door which is very convenient. I am an airline Captain so we travel a lot and in the last 10 years of staying in 20-30 houses a year, this is by far the best we have encountered. We will be back as soon as we possibly can.

We had the most blissful time at Sanctuaria treehouses. Located an hour’s drive from the hubbub of Coron, we stayed within the peaceful and quiet nature in the treetops, and slept soundly to the sound of the tropical birds, geckos and lovemaking frogs. The treehouses are carefully and lovingly built, with large comfortable rooms, and terraces or verandas overlooking the breathtaking scenery a of tree lined bay and endless skies. You can choose to be in peaceful isolation or connect with other guests over communal dinners, warmly prepared by the charming staff team. The food was one of the most delicious we ate in the Philippines, and we made new friends from Australia, Germany and Wales, sharing food, cocktails and vibrant conversations together at night. The coolness of the beautiful pool while watching the sun set remains a precious gem in our memory palace. Host Brian organised private boat trips to places close to paradise, such as Pass Islands that offered solitude and the most breathtaking corals in a myriad of colours, and the chefs prepared a Picknick for us to eat on the beach. We felt beautifully cared for, Sanctuaria is a home away from home, a welcoming community, in heavenly surroundings, we are longing to go back. And we will! XXX Kathi, Ildikó and Izzy

The location (fantastic for both diving and doing excursions into the northwest of the island), and the view is to die for: we've never had an accommodation with seaview from the bedroom (literally from the bed), from the bathroom - and even whilst being in the shower! The staff is incredibly helpful, both in the restaurant and in the reception, and the food has been very good and reasonably priced - in particular the fresh fish (try the Tuna Tataki, or the Spanish Mackerel, or the Fisherman's breakfast!). All in all, we felt like in paradise for 2 weeks.

Nestled in the tranquil south-western part of the island, Busuanga Bay Lodge boasts an outdoor infinity pool, a private dive centre and in-house wine cellar.

Excellent location of the entire resort for snorkeling: right from the beach you can easily reach an extensive reef – both the “inner lagoon” protected from waves, where you can spot mainly turtles, and the outer edge, where there may be surf but you’ll see large schools of fish. Friendly atmosphere: what is agreed upon is honored. The possibility to head out on really fast speedboats for island hopping around the nearby islands. David is an excellent guide to the dive sites!
