Everything - Very exceptional stay, super friendly staff, great pool and a true castle experience. Unfortunately we had to evacuate the place due to wildfires but even in these dramatic circumstances the staff was very helpful - we would have stayed way longer if the nature had decided otherwise

The house is as beautiful, if not more than the pictures. Everything is immaculate, there is not a spot of dust anywhere. The hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful. We booked a couple of trips while we were ther and the host made sure we had a good price and were not charged for pick up. The breakfast was extremely generous. Items were left in the fridge for us to use at our leisure and the bread was delivered fresh and left on the gate by the baker, also generous and we couldn't get through it. They even topped up a few breakfast items midweek and it was again very, very generous. The rooms are beautiful but perhaps the beds are not large enough for a couple. The sheets and towels are crisp and clean and could be changed mid-week. The kitchen has great facilities and the BBQ came with coal and lighters and equipment so it was very easy to get started and we enjoyed the beautiful outdoor cooking area and BBQ with view on the fantastic garden very much. The garden is wonderful, we did not use the volleball net as it was a little hot for us but it was a nice idea. Overall the house and garden are beautiful and very pleasant to stay in.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this villa! The property is stunning — spacious, clean, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. The pool was amazing, with breathtaking views overlooking the Douro Valley. We loved spending time outdoors, whether it was using the BBQ area, playing board games in the evening, or having fun on the mini badminton court. The villa has five large bedrooms, making it ideal for families or groups. What truly made the stay special was the warm hospitality of the owner — he welcomed us with fresh oranges and delicious cookies, and was attentive and helpful throughout our stay. You can tell he genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Douro region!

The property is freshly renovated and very modern. A big shared living room, balcony and kitchen are available. The big garden as well as the house itself is very comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen invites to cook, which might be needed because there are no restaurants or shops in walking distance. Communication with the owners and self check-in were very easy and I felt really welcomed.

An absolutely perfect stay — it was a birthday weekend gift for my mom! The welcome was exceptional: warm, attentive hosts who were always discreet and never intrusive. You instantly feel at ease, like at home, with that extra touch of elegance and generosity that truly makes a difference. The pool is stunning, perfectly maintained, with a magnificent view over the Douro Valley. A breathtaking setting, peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast is a real highlight: generous, varied, with high-quality products — everything is fresh and beautifully presented. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, and the overall atmosphere truly invites relaxation. I recommend it without hesitation, and I will gladly come back!

This is the perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy peace and quiet, beautiful nature, and spectacular views. The house is stylish, comfortable, and clearly created with great care and attention to detail. The outdoor spaces are wonderful, and the barbecue area and swimming pool made our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was simply perfect. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly friendly and took the time to show us around. A special thank you to Sonia for all her help and kindness throughout our stay. And we can't forget to mention the lovely dog, Flor, who practically spent the whole time with us and completely stole our hearts. ❤️ We will definitely be back!
