Amazing views, comfortable rooms and tasty food. We were lucky to stay in Vila Gale Douro during harvest and enjoy a visit to the vineyard - truly unforgettable experience.

A truly magnificent hotel! Stunning views, a cozy and elegant atmosphere, beautiful rooms, and an incredibly friendly and attentive staff. We were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful gifts and compliments from the hotel. The cuisine is absolutely fantastic! Special thanks and great respect to the chef — every dish we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted exceptional. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the hotel, and I couldn’t be happier. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We enjoyed excellent wine (with special thanks to the sommelier) and had a wonderful, relaxing time at the spa. I will definitely return and will happily recommend this hotel to all my friends and acquaintances. If you are looking for peace, relaxation, and true quality — this is the place to be.

Breakfast was generous and tasty. Location was in the country, which is what we were looking for. Services (like laundromat, pharmacy, etc.) were in a town about 15 minutes away. Very quiet. Beautiful pool outside and very warm pool inside, as well as a sauna. We were greeted personally by the owner when we arrived, who insisted on taking our bags to our room. All the staff spoke very good English and were friendly and helpful.

Very clean, modern. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Slightly away from the main town up a windy hill. Great view from room.

This is a great hotel. Excellent location with nice view of the hills around Lamego. Good infrastructure, nice pool, spa, etc. Rooms were spacious with nice view of the hills, bathroom also very nice. The service was outstanding, at reception Jessica and Rita, both lovely. Same at brekfast, which was excellent. We had dinner at the hotel, it was also great quality food.

The apartment is located in the middle of vineyards and has two pools and tenis court. Our rooms were big enough and in very good condition.

We are a family of 5 (2 parents + 3 kids), and stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. This is a very nice hotel located in a pastoral landscape in the vineyards. Quiet, clean, friendly stuff. The pool is clean and nice. The view from the balcony is lovely. All the buildings of the property are historical and authentic.

Very welcoming and a fantastic stay. Spacious, clean room with a spacious bathroom. Well-functioning air conditioning. Excellent beds. Each room has its own 'little front garden' with two lovely chairs where it is pleasant to relax. You can also sit by the very spacious swimming pool, where you can enjoy the sun until early evening. Jorge and his wife are fantastic hosts. Jorge is always there for you, also with good tips and advice regarding trips and restaurants, etc. The Quinta is beautifully centrally located for visits to wineries, Pinhao, etc. You can also stay for dinner (for a very reasonable fee), where you can enjoy authentic Portuguese food and top-quality Port made at the Quinta (unfortunately not for sale). We stayed for several days and enjoyed it. If we return to the Douro Valley, we will certainly stay here.

it's a very nice place to stay near the Douro valley the host was very nice and helpful (we were at a hurry when we left, and felt bed we didn't had time to say goodbye) the pool is a nice touch, it's remote so you feel disconnected from the world. the beds were comfy and the shower was nice but felt old.

The pool was nice and D. Herminia was always available when needed.

I loved how helpful Rita was and all the little details the house had, like olive oil and salt in the kitchen, beautifully layed out towels and throws in the bedrooms, slippers in the master... All around I believe the pictures don't do the house justice because it is really amazingly decorated, with large windows and a very cozy vibe.

Great place to stay - was there a couple of nights. Has a nice swimming pool and a game room with a pool table that the staff gladly let us use too! Would 100% recommend!

First of all the view is STUNNING. I spent all my waking hours outside drinking in the view. Tucked against the hillside the little stone house was a quiet little haven overlooking the valley of vineyards. We were lucky enough to have no neighbours in the rental next door and the owner kindly upgraded us to the bigger house. The owner is friendly and discreet, and despite one meeting with him we saw not a soul for 3 days, it was so peaceful. The house was made of the typical stone of the area, nicely renovated and felt clean and modern. It is well situated and there is plenty to do in the area within a 30-45min vicinity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
