If I could give 11/10 I would! A truly spectacular place, we stayed just 2 nights but it felt like a whole holiday, such a full and relaxing experience. A wonderful welcome and highly personalised service throughout. Excellent facilities: room, pool, gardens all really well built and maintained. Great breakfast! Interesting things to visit in the area: boat and kayak trips, walks.

The view is absolutely fantastic. The way you see it in the pictures is the way you get it. The pool is quite warm, yet refreshing. The terrace is very good to sit in the shade, once the sun is too hot. Beautiful place.

Stunning views from the terrace and the pool. This house is amazing, and Celia and her family are so welcoming and helpful. The house is fully equipped with everything that you need, the beds are comfortable and it is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Perfect 👌

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable, with a lot of space in the garden to explore. The facility had everything we needed, also the staff was very attentive and nice. The breakfast was also amazing with a lot of options (not a buffet, but more than enough). Amazing to spend the weekend and relax.

Looking over the beautiful Douro valley, I proposed to my girlfriend (now fiancée) here and had the best stay experience I could have imagined!! We had the most amazing hosts and they helped me a lot with setting up our own little ceremony. They even helped book a photographer! The place was very neat and clean and had a very luxurious feel. The main pool was a great place to wind down and relax in the sun and the little pools facing the Douro were a nice touch too (the views everywhere are breathtaking). Strongly considering coming back here for future celebrations. Much love to the team of Quinta Casal da Silva 1951!! 🙏 PS. Breakfast was amazing!!!

Owners kindness, the house is beautifully done and full of details, such as the house logo displayed in several places. The owner offered us some vegetables from her farm and lemons as well in the end. They have an information book where we could find all types of info, from restaurants to places to visit... On the outside, a swimming pool and a really nice place to have a table to eat and play foosball.

All bedrooms were suites, with plenty of high-quality towels. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to cook. The pool was excellent, and there were great services and facilities nearby. There was also a small pool next to the main one, perfect for kids.

Fantastic large villa in a beautiful peaceful location overlooking the Douro river. Amazing views on the river. Plenty of sitting space including a separate conservatory with a collection of CDs and books, BBQ area with a large table, further shaded deck area and balcony. Pool in a private location. The villa itself is fantastic with a huge table and unique features including an old piano. The owner (Manuel) showed us around and was extremely kind and helpful, a real gentleman. He stayed in a separate house on site but we felt complete privacy throughout our holiday. Overall a real gem - we are looking forward to coming back one day.

I loved the peace and tranquillity of the area. The property was surrounded by beautiful fruit trees and fresh vegetables, which created a relaxing and natural atmosphere. The hosts lived nearby and were very kind, welcoming and helpful, while always respecting our privacy. The pool was cleaned every day, and the water was regularly tested, so it always felt fresh, clean and safe. Everything was well maintained, and the whole setting was perfect for switching off, relaxing and enjoying nature. I would happily stay here again.
