Facing the seafront, Casa da Ilha & SPA offers 4-star accommodation in Abraão and has pool with a view, garden and terrace. Hands down, the best accommodation we had in Brazil. Set in the nature with access by the sea through a private pier, this hotel is amazing. It is walking distance from the centre and the only way to get there is through a couple of beaches. Bring a torch for the night! The best thing about the hotel is the terrace where they serve breakfast and afternoon treats. There is also a pergola with a ping pong table and a pool table. The rooms are nice and clean and we got the one with the sea view and a small patio. The staff will go to great lengths to help you, they can organise trips for you and make you sandwiches to take away during the day. One day it has been raining for 24hrs and the electricity went off on the island but the hotel has its own generator so no problem with that. The hotel is able to organise any kind of trip and if I can give you advice I would go for private boat trips rather than the group trips. The laundry service works perfectly. Extremely quick and efficient service.

Situated in Abraão, just 200 metres from Saco de Ceu Beach, Club MV Saco do Céu features beachfront accommodation with a private beach area, a garden, a bar and free WiFi. It’s a lovely place! The accommodation has everything you need, it includes transportation from/to Abraao-Saco do Ceu. You will have the opportunity to walk over different beaches, the place is nearby good restaurants (including the one at Club MV, the food was delicious!) They also include a daily breakfast with different options :) The staff and owner make you feel at home.

It’s a quiet and scenic location away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but a short easy walk to all the restaurants and markets and shops. The property is clean and well cared for, the breakfast is tasty and fresh and filling, the pool is delightful, and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. We loved our stay. We reserved the one bedroom apartment with the kitchen. So it was roomy and comfortable, although the bed was small and a little stiff.

Ideally located on Canto Beach in Vila do Abraão district, charming Pousada do Canto features a pool with a hot tub and panoramic sea views. Rooms are air conditioned. I loved that the location was close to town but off to the side in a more peaceful setting. The place was clean and comfortable and put out a fantastic breakfast spread.

Featuring volleyball and soccer fields, an outdoor pool and garden area, Recanto dos Lima is in Ilha Grande. It offers free Wi-Fi and a daily buffet breakfast at its restaurant. We were looking for somewhere to relax for a few days and it was exactly that! Really enjoyed the tours that they offer (reasonable price for an almost private tour) and the fact that they provide transport to the mainland for 70 reals (much cheaper than private.

Canoa Abraão - Ilha Grande RJ is an accommodation set in Abraão, 600 metres from Abraao Beach and 400 metres from Sain't Sebastian Church. Nice hidden oasis à bit further up in the land, 5 minutes walk to the beach. The most handsome man welcomed me, I thought it was an hallucination since I didn't see him after, until I was taking a final dip in the pool before leaving, he reappeared like a mirage! Decent breakfast, clean room despite not the most modern. Confortable bed.

The food at the restaurant was fantastic. The beach club was a great amenity that we wish we had used more. The staff was very friendly.

Set in Praia de Araçatiba, Mar da Lua provides an outdoor swimming pool. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge and a bar. Mar da Lua is an incredibly beautiful get away. This is my favorite place in Brazil so far and I was sad to leave!
