Centrally located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca town centre and just a 3-minute walk from Salsa Brava Beach, Hotel Indalo adults only features an extensive garden, sun terrace and free Wi-Fi. Everything was perfect, best apartment during my 2 weeks in Costa Rica. Very clean, great location, complimentary coffee, pool. Owner Gonzalo is very friendly and welcoming, I cannot recommend more🙂

KAÑIK APART HOTEL in Puerto Viejo provides adults-only accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. Outstanding facilities: A very beautiful place in nature. Modern, clean, extremely comfortable, great pool. Staff: Amazing, friendly staff who were always there to help and support. Food: Great breakfast with good options and flexibility for dietary requirements. Location: Amazing place surrounded by the forest. With an amazing beach within 2 mins walking distance (the most beautiful beach we could find in the area + barely visited by others). 15 mins car ride to Puerto Viejo. Overall outstanding place, worth every penny. Would definitely come back here! 10/10

Located within a few steps of Negra and 25 km of Jaguar Rescue Center, Casa Caribbean Coconut provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Cahuita. Personally cooked and juiced by our host who took great care in ensuring that it was all as we ordered and delicious. It was wholesome enough to last us until the evening, so we could have a full day having fun without a need for lunch.

Set within 36 km of Universidad EARTH and 43 km of Ebal Rodriguez Stadium in Siquirres, Siquirres Mountain Lodge offers accommodation with seating area. It's a beautiful, quiet and relaxing lodge. The host Inge is very friendly and accommodating. She also made arrangements for a guided night nature hike nearby that was very interesting and adventurous. The breakfast was abundant and delicious! I look forward to returning for horseback riding in the near future.

Set in Puerto Viejo, 700 metres from Negra Beach, Mecca offers accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. I felt right at home at Mecca and 10/10 recommend to all. I stayed about a week and felt I had the perfect balance of peaceful time to myself lounging by the pool or petting the dogs in the common area and social time, chatting with the owner Kim and her family who were visiting and were kind enough to extend invites to share time with them. Outside of my time spent in Mecca, I also liked that there were bikes I could take to explore and we were close to a restaurant with a nice beach view, live music and a bar. Plus, Kim gave recommendations of where to eat, what to do in the area and how to get around. Plus since I overlapped with Thanksgiving, I got to be a part of a black expat Friendsgiving and family festivities which was very nice as a solo traveler.
