Offering direct access to the beach, Lanna Ban Hotel is located in Puerto Viejo. The hotel features an exotic garden and contemporary Thai architecture. Free WiFi access is available. The location of this lodge is really nice, close to the beach and restaurants. Both rooms (we had one of the houses in main pictures, and one in the larger white building) were very nice, large, clean and very nice atmosphere. Receptionist Griselda was super! She adviced on a good restaurant for Christmas dinners and booked for us. She was always there for any question or help needed, with a smile! Breakfast was very nice, and the person serving (not sure of his name) was always friendly. Great to see so the animals and birds in the garden of the lodge. I include pictures of our 2 pool friends. The jaguar rescue center next to this hotel lodge is also a must-visit (really nice).

Centrally located in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca town centre and just a 3-minute walk from Salsa Brava Beach, Hotel Indalo adults only features an extensive garden, sun terrace and free Wi-Fi. Very good location, right in town but still quiet. Very nice owner that helps out with everything. super clean. we even got a little christmas gift.

I felt right at home at Mecca and 10/10 recommend to all. I stayed about a week and felt I had the perfect balance of peaceful time to myself lounging by the pool or petting the dogs in the common area and social time, chatting with the owner Kim and her family who were visiting and were kind enough to extend invites to share time with them. Outside of my time spent in Mecca, I also liked that there were bikes I could take to explore and we were close to a restaurant with a nice beach view, live music and a bar. Plus, Kim gave recommendations of where to eat, what to do in the area and how to get around. Plus since I overlapped with Thanksgiving, I got to be a part of a black expat Friendsgiving and family festivities which was very nice as a solo traveler.

What is there not to like? Every service offered and every part of the hotel were of perfect quality. The staff was super friendly and focused in making the stay comfortable and easy. This place is great for people looking to relax but also enjoy some of the night life available in the town.
