ItalyWe had a wonderful stay at Alpenkönig. We had booked it for our 45th wedding anniversary based on reviews that the food was so good and it was a very welcoming atmosphere. And sure enough, the food was exceptional. Breakfast had everything you could wish for. Eggs were made to order, bacon was cooked for you too, French toast, oatmeal... all made to order. The buffet part of the breakfast was great. Mini croissants delicious. We took the half board option and were treated to gourmet-like food as well as presentation of the food. Delicious!
The room we had was very big and comfortable with a sitting area. Everything was spotless.
The walk into town was roughly 5 minutes. The scenery is beautiful. I highly recommend taking the Hündlebahn cable car. Beautiful open views and many possible walks.
The owners were very welcoming and caring. Altogether a great vacation.

Czech RepublicThe appartment was in a great condition and upon arrival was everything clean and polished (except for the windows). The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything needed. The underground parking was very convenient. Location is also amazing - close to the main street, supermarket is within 5 min walking distance, Kurpark is also almost around the corner.
We have also tried dinner from the restaurant and it was very tasty. Oberstaufen card is also great as one can use 3 Bergbahnen for free which is great.
Despite of the negatives described below, we would definitely come back again and we can fully recommend this place.

Excellent location, a dream of a spa including indoor/ outdoor swimming pools and a pond.
Hotel Franks is a magnificent high- end hotel offering a personalised and superior service with a great view towards the Alps.
Food is fantastic at all levels.
I highly recommend this little gem.

The scenery is beautiful. The swimming pool is a good touch. The apartment has a good size, but the beds upstairs and the stairs are a bit squeaky. Overall the place is beautiful.

Very beautifully situated in the mountains, green everywhere. Beautiful large rooms, very comfortable beds, walk in closet and very spacious. Great swimming pool outdoors and indoors, great playground for the kids, just outside the hotel, great hiking nearby. We could charge our electrical car in the basement, all very easy.

Great hotel at a very nice and beautiful location near the Germany/Austrian border. We stayed here since we travelled from The Netherlands to Garda lake in Italy. My son (and we) had a great and fun time. There's a nice playground outside and also a lot of little cars for my son to play with. The swimming pool is a nice addition aswell. The rooms are okay, the beds were very good. We also loved our balcony. I recommend this place.

What a beautiful hotel right in the center of Oberstaufen! We stayed in the apartment annex and it was so large and comfortable! Both the sofa bed and the queen bed were very comfortable. It was nice to have 2 toilet rooms and the kitchen. The breakfast in the main hotel was fantastic and our favorite of our trip. We also enjoyed one excellent dinner at the hotel. The beautiful swimming pool, spa and sauna were open until 9:00 pm so we had time to swimming and soak after dinner. We will stay here again!

Everything.. Amazing location, beautiful chalet fully equipped with things you need to make your own meals and lovely people. They also have sauna, thermal room and a natural swimming pool. We wish we had more time here to enjoy all facilities

Superb stay in the beautiful mountains with luxurious spa, sauna and swimming pool.
Most beautiful view from the room and hiking trails and beautiful cows with bells around their necks making the softest music right there too.
Amazing many course dinner menu, also vegetarian/vegan. Would love to come back.
