We had one night here on our roadtrip to the atlantic ocean. We checked Vichy with bikes and that was really great. Breakfast was great. Host absolutely kind…we would come back if there is another option for our trip near vichy.

Hiljuti renoveeritud hommikusöögiga majutusasutus La Bruyère - B & B - asub Trébanis, 29 km kaugusel Centre national du costume de scène'ist. Kohapeal on ühine puhkeruum ja aiavaated. Our hosts were lovely people and we enjoyed every minute with them. The bed was great and the breakfast excellent! Our dog made a new friend with their dog and enjoyed watching the chickens.

We stayed on our way to catch the ferry home from Caen. It was very easy to find and a stunning property steeped in history. The rooms were fascinating and we felt welcomed by Joseph and Ogen who were friendly and explained the history and restoration of the property which dates from 1260. The rooms that we stayed in had a modern shower bathroom between them and beautifully soft bathrobes and large towels were provided. We requested the evening meal and it was the best food we had eaten on our entire holiday, we were also asked for any dietary requests as well. Creatively prepared leek vinagrette opened the meal, local vegetables and deliciously moist cod for the main course and the meal finished with fresh strawberries and homemade Chantilly cream. They had a fully stocked bar which complemented the meal. It was a truly unique stay and would love to return when the weather would allow us to use the outdoor pool! We had breakfast the next day which consisted of fresh croissants and jam and Ogen also made some divine scrambled eggs with chives.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming property! The house, an ancient gem full of character, is located in the heart of the typical French countryside. Peter and Mario are exceptional hosts who truly understand the art of hospitality. They made us feel welcome and attended to our every need. The food was outstanding and a highlight of our stay.

The family, Jake, Danielle and Graham couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. The superb renovations to the beautiful chateau are a credit to their hard work and love for the property. The food was delicious. Our room was beautiful with lots of space and tastefully decorated. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our poodle Molly was welcomed and it was lovely to meet Merlin the resident spaniel. The location was superb, opposite a beautiful lake that you can walk around with a dog and swim in warmer weather. The chateau is easily accessed from and to the motorway. We were travelling north from Spain, stopped at the chateau overnight on our way to Calais. It was all blissfully easy. We will return 😁

The place is great, a paradise of pastoral tranquility and of serenity, I am sure it would be difficult to find anything better, unless one travels to a remote island. Well, if you like people, movement and action, this is not the place for you, otherwise it is simply ideal for relaxing and leaving your problems behind! I have spent many holidays in France in similar B&B places, but the owners of Grand Lucay far surpass any I have seen before. Extremely kind and friendly as one rarely, very rarely finds. Thank you!
