This is a lovely little hotel. It has two rooms. We stayed with our one year old and five year old. Florence, the host, was so welcoming and had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and fun. The kids had their own box of toys to play with in the shade while we all had free drinks on arrival. The room was great, stylish and good quality fittings in the bedroom and bathroom, clearly a lot of thought and care has gone into it. There was a double bed and a sofa bed. Great rain shower with lots of pressure, two sinks etc. Little details that you just don’t get in other hotels such as actually providing wash cloths. The room wasn’t huge but it was absolutely fine and to be honest it didn’t matter because of everything else available. Downstairs is a kitchenette with plenty of appliances to make dinner, and games room with table football, piano, guitar, arcade machine and lots of books and board games. Enough space and fun to keep everyone entertained. Outside is the pool which is a great size, and kept very clean. There are lots of loungers and tables to sit at, plenty of shade where needed which was great in the heatwave for our kids, and again lots of toys for use in the pool. Pool towels provided. Breakfast was lovely - croissants, melon, bread, cheese, conserves and even some delicious brownies. Highchair and baby plates provided for our little one. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back and stay again and I would strongly recommend going here over a big chain hotel. It was perfect for us as a stopover on the way back to England.

Incredible views, amazing hospitality, room is clean and comfortable. Fantastic pool, friendly farm animals. We loved it here with our two kids and look forward to coming back!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, La Bruyère - B & B - is situated in Tréban, 29 km from Centre National du Costume de Scene and 31 km from Moulins Cathedral. Our hosts were lovely people and we enjoyed every minute with them. The bed was great and the breakfast excellent! Our dog made a new friend with their dog and enjoyed watching the chickens.

We stayed on our way to catch the ferry home from Caen. It was very easy to find and a stunning property steeped in history. The rooms were fascinating and we felt welcomed by Joseph and Ogen who were friendly and explained the history and restoration of the property which dates from 1260. The rooms that we stayed in had a modern shower bathroom between them and beautifully soft bathrobes and large towels were provided. We requested the evening meal and it was the best food we had eaten on our entire holiday, we were also asked for any dietary requests as well. Creatively prepared leek vinagrette opened the meal, local vegetables and deliciously moist cod for the main course and the meal finished with fresh strawberries and homemade Chantilly cream. They had a fully stocked bar which complemented the meal. It was a truly unique stay and would love to return when the weather would allow us to use the outdoor pool! We had breakfast the next day which consisted of fresh croissants and jam and Ogen also made some divine scrambled eggs with chives.

Le Brasseur Logements in Saint-Caprais provides adults-only accommodation with pool with a view, a garden and a terrace. Very quet and beautiful place, very clean and comfortable. Lots of cute and lovely details in the room. Excellent breakfast. We felt like at home and will come back. Thank you so much dear hosts!

The most warmest of welcomes and the highest level of service throughout. A beautiful evening meal completed with the best wines and great service.A truly unique and tranquil experience the only problem was we only booked one night!! We will be back next year if they will have us!! We travelled with our 3 children they loved the pool and the fantastic location and experience from the local cows who reside in the neighbouring field,to the very best cuisine from the local area. I miss our fantastic hosts already!

Chateau du Grand Lucay features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 20 km of Centre National du Costume de Scene and 22 km of Moulins Cathedral. It was a lovely spot and very comfortable accommodations. You are not far from town but you get a great country experience.
