In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. We really enjoyed our stay here, Shiralee made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived.. she also cooks a delicious English breakfast!! Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... Excellent pool and hot tub. Staff had petals and wishes for a happy honeymoon for us. They made provisions for our request too.

Townfoot Byre, Troutbeck - E.V friendly provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 5.5 km of World of Beatrix Potter and 36 km of Derwentwater Lake. Beautiful location, really cute kitchen, spacious bedroom, lovely modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Spa isn't on site but only 5 mins drive away. Great pool and sauna.

The Old Vicarage offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 10 km of World of Beatrix Potter and 17 km of Lake Windermere. A very warm welcome into a stunning period building. Ample parking right outside. Very spacious room, with comfortable bed and sofa. The bathroom is also spacious and well equipped with a bath and separate shower. The toiletries were lovely. A good sized mini fridge was a bonus, alongside a good TV. The pre order breakfast option delivered to your room worked great, especially travelling with our dog! Hotel very walkable to local pubs and eateries. Would recommend for a stay in Ambleside.

Dating back to 1854, the award-winning Holly Lodge Guest House with FREE off site health club is quietly situated in the center of Windermere. Centrally located and quiet. The owners are lovely and so helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

The Quaysiders Lakes Resort - Quaysiders Club is located on the shore of Lake Windermere at Waterhead, which is a short walk from the village of Ambleside. I absolutely love how spacious the apartment was + huge plus for the two bathrooms, one with a bathtub. The swimming pool was very pleasant and the laundry room with dryers was also very helpful.

St John's Lodge is an award-winning guest house situated between Windermere village and the Lake at Bowness Bay. The location. Walking distance to the Lake, shops & restaurants. The staff were very welcoming. The breakfast they served was amazing.
