Cape Blue Apartments is the best place we have been to for years. The see-side building is located on a height from where you have a wonderful view over the bay. If you want to go swimming you have the option between the two swimming-pools in the large garden or the beautiful beach which is accessible by roughly 50 stairs easily to walk. But the best thing in this place is the really 5* service. There is a small bistro next to the pool, where you can order food and beverages. I have to say, that the salads and pizza were better than in some of the restaurants we visited in Skiathos, so we enjoyed the sunsets on our terrace with fresh Greek salad and an oven-warm pizza. A last word about the owner: Yannis is a caring owner. He has been daily in the complex to make sure his guests are happy. He and his manager Dimitri went above and beyond to make our stay an unforgettable experience. As our flight back was late afternoon, Yannis allowed us to check-out late and even took us with his car to the airport. Certainly, don´t expect this in the high-season, when the next guests are waiting to check-in. But it shows the nice approach of the owner. P.S. As a Persian I came with my family as foreigners to this place, where not far away our nations have fought bloody battles 2000 years ago. And we left the place as friends. Our room also had a private patio that was really nice. The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Skiathos town and 10 minutes from the harbour, with restaurants, bars and shops. Additionally, a bus stop and a convenience store are only 2 minutes away. The pool was clean and perfect for cooling down in the sun. Since the hotel is small in size with not too many rooms, we always found some available sunbeds where we could relax and enjoy drinks, food, or snacks from their bar and cafe area. Staying at Althaea was a wonderful experience with nothing to complain about. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the incredible family that owns it. From the moment we arrived, they were really friendly, checking in with us to see if everything was fine during our stay and going out of their way to make sure we were happy. The greatest example of this was when we were leaving Skiathos. We were about to check in at the airport when we realized that we had left some clothes in our room. After calling the hotel and explaining the situation, Alkis, the hotel co-owner, showed up at the airport with our clothes only 20 minutes later. Such exceptional service is rare and deeply appreciated. I highly recommend this place for couples, families, and small groups of friends. It’s quiet, with a great location close to the city and probably the best staff in all of Skiathos. Thank you for having us. We hope to come back again!

The rooms are very cute decorated with terrace, aircon, comfy beds! And the breakfast was delicious too many things to choose from! Overall a great experience and I would recommend it 100% :)

The owners are wonderful kind friendly people! And their cooking is absolutely delicicous - we have never had better souvlaki :) our stay was perfect, booked a room with balcony and sea view, the view was breathtaking, room was spacious and cleaned every day. The views from the villa's restaurant were a bonus to the great breakfast served...there was a choice of everything for breakfast, was quite enough for us! We travelled around the island,there is free parking below the villa, and every evening we went for a walk to the main town...it's not far,very convenient location! Our last day we could even stay as long as we wanted in our room because we had a later flight and there wasn't a sameday booking for our room. The owners were really great to make that possible! We loved being just far enough away from the noisy skiathos centre , easy pleasant walk passing maggali ammo’s beach into town . Beautiful view from our balcony , breakfast by the side of the swimming pool with also just as fantastic a view . The staff at Avaton were all very welcoming and made our stay extra special.
