MORAZEN Surabaya har en god beliggenhed i Genteng-distriktet i Surabaya. We had the best breakfast of our entire trip. There were so many options, and they offered a great variety of local dishes — it was like a food museum for us! We wanted to try everything. It would be even better if they could add English names for each dish.

Everything was truly magical. The name is correct— it IS a gem!!! The moment we arrived Erika warmly greeted us with a fresh dragon fruit juice. The room is SO luxurious, the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, ever. The gardens are lush, the river is clean and the area is so spiritual and relaxing. We spent so much time at the pool swimming, reading, meditating. The owners are so lovely. Marc taught us many things about Java and about life. We appreciated his conversations. Happy to call them friends. Special shout out to young Rico!!! The chef of the house!! Amazing home cooked meals, the best we’ve had in our trip through Indonesia. Thank you Rico you smashed it and you have a great future ahead.

Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya, Tunjungan Plaza offers accommodation in the business district in Surabaya. The hotel has a conveniently direct access to the Tunjungan Plaza Shopping Mall. I love the location as well as the restaurant. You are also very close to the mall, which for me is perfect whenever I have some free time.

Didu’s Homestay is amazing. The rooms are all unique little cabins in the yard, everything is very clean and well taken care of. The cabins center around a main courtyard area with lounge space and kitchen/dining area for guest use. You can buy a few snacks/drinks at the check in desk and order meals which will be delivered. The breakfast is very generous and filling. They can help you with the Ijen tour if you want to do that it’s 499, 000. Everyone you talk to at Didu’s is so nice and helpful ! They also picked me up from the train station (Kota is the closest one). I loved this place and wished I’d had more time.

Welcoming guests with an outdoor swimming pool, Ascott Waterplace Surabaya is located right in front of Pakuwon Mall which houses convention halls, department stores and various dining outlets. Room was spacious and clean. Location was very close to a big mall. Staff were friendly and helpful.
