Brett Cox, a member of the staff, is a native English speaker. He made our stay exceptional. Kudos also to the chef for accommodating vegetarians, not an easy feat in Japan. Omotenashi has been perfected by the Setouchi Retreat. Well done.

Imabari Kokusai Hotel ligger 10 minuters promenad från stationen JR Imabari och har en inomhuspool och ett stort offentligt bad. WiFi är gratis i alla utrymmen. This is the heart of the city. It stands out and is the first thing you see of Imabari coming from the Shiminami Kaido. The hotel is built some time ago, but the hotel and rooms are still in pristine conditions. First time in Japan I've actually had a room to pace around in and a bathtub where I could lay down vertically in. If you get a room on the higher leveled floors, then you will get s splendid view of the city and maybe of the Shiminami Kaido as well.

The hotspring facilities are all amazing. Especially, the private hotspring was quite comfortable and it was nice that they have several different options for it. Also, they have wide range of yukata which we can choose without paying any extra fee.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Dogo ligger i Matsuyama, 15 minuters promenad från Joshin-ji Temple, och erbjuder boende med en säsongsöppen utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering och en restaurang. The futon was very comfortable and after nice oncen i slept like a baby. The food were delicious too. The facilities were great.
