Hotel Grand Phenix Okokshiga ligger i direkt anslutning till backarna i skidorten Okokshiga Kogen och inom 1 minuts promenad från Lift 1. Hotellet erbjuder ski-in/ski-out. I never experienced such VIP service otherwise in the world. Whole reception teams demonstrated what extraordinary service should be. I arrived late by bus and was welcomed by one receptionist in bus stop. so I did not need to carry my luggage in the snowing road. They even opened the ski rental shop for me after working hour. The next morning, I missed public shuttle bus and they offered to use hotel shuttle bus to drive me over to ski lift in Yakebitaiyama without reservation in advance. I felt that I was living with a lot of friends instead of living in hotel. I was too tired to try the bar at night, and I would like to try it next time. Swimming pool was good with quite warm water. Hot bathing place with best view. Sun rising over snow mountain top. Breakfast was very good with many variations. The dinner I ordered was pork hotpot, and personally I think the starter tasted better and pork meat is okay. I will try something else next time. All in all, the service and room condition are all top.

Our room was spacious and featured a stunning panoramic view of the lake, creating a serene atmosphere and genuine connection to the surrounding nature. The beds were very comfortable and contributed to a quality sleep. The breakfast was rich and varied, with both Japanese and Western options - each of us found exactly what suited our taste. The quality of the food was high and the selection was extensive. While the hotel's style is somewhat dated, that's actually part of its charm. Most importantly - everything is maintained to an excellent standard and feels clean and well-kept. The staff was simply wonderful - attentive, considerate, and always ready to help with a smile. We would definitely return and highly recommend!

Kasuga no Mori ligger i Saku, 21 km från Honmachi Machiyakan, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering och en gemensam lounge. We enjoyed walks around the property and a paved mountain path. I loved the artwork hung in the hallways. The staff were nice. We had the onsen baths mostly to ourselves because of low occupancy. A young lady I met said this place was popular among college students who want to enjoy the baths. I was hoping for a better quality lodgings.
