We stayed at Ttunu House in January 2025, and it was simply incredible! The house is beautiful, lovingly restored, and tastefully furnished. There is truly not a single thing to complain about! The Ttunu House team—Cornelius, Stephen, and Jackson—did everything to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. Stephen cooks whatever guests desire, with only the cost of groceries charged, while the service itself is included. Upon request, we had the best tuna steaks of our lives, served with grilled vegetables and Kachumbari (a Kenyan tomato salad). For those looking for an extraordinary vacation far from tourist hotspots but without sacrificing luxury, Ttunu House is the perfect choice! We would love to come back.

Milimani Villa-Fully airconditioned Villa mette a disposizione un alloggio con piscina all’aperto, giardino e sala comune a Shela e dispone di WiFi gratuito e vista sulla montagna. The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

Upon entrance it was like stepping into an oasis from the narrow, but cozy streets of Lamu Town. The architecture was stunning and its aesthetics and functionality impressive. As the house is glass and roof free the natural ventilation was a constant fresh and cool breeze in 30 degrees celsius weather. The house help Jamuhuri had the kindest soul. Everything felt safe and it always felt like coming home because he was there. The house was always clean and Jamuhuri was always ready to help with anything we needed. Asante sana!

A 100 metri da 18th Century Swahili House Museum, Baytulkher mette a disposizione sistemazioni con una piscina all'aperto, una terrazza e una reception 24 ore su 24, che fa sempre comodo. The location was easy to find and we felt safe moving around in the area after dark. The Queen Deluxe room was great. The staff was caring and attentive. The room was clean. The “balcony” or the open room near bedroom was beautiful, cozy and pleasant to spend time at. There were mosquito nets on the bed. It is obvious that lots of love and effort has been put into restoration of the building.
