An incredible view and a staff to match! The hotel may seem a bit austere at first, with a few small shortcomings (for example, a reading lamp by each bed would be nice), but nothing essential. The staff and service are excellent, and the manager is very involved — he asks for feedback every day and genuinely cares about guests’ comfort. Although the hotel is a little farther from the city, the distance is more than compensated by the stunning view, fresh air, and peaceful atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend Madu’s cooking! He’s an excellent chef — the beef is delicious (even if it’s not Argentinian), and the soup, his specialty, is outstanding. I doubt I’ll ever return to Kandy, but if I do, this is definitely where I’ll stay again.

The host is extremely kind, friendly and helpful. Like your Sri Lankan dad. Location is a bit outside the main busy centre, and that's nice actually. There's a great restaurant downhill, just 5min walking.

Wonderful hosts, great accommodation and delicious breakfast. The pool was a very welcome relief after a hot day too. The quality of the decor was the best we saw in Sri Lanka with lovely art everywhere you look. Very highly recommended!

This was my second stay. The place is surrounded by greenery, away from the noise of the city, and I was able to relax in peace. The room had a bedroom and a dining area, and I could connect via Bluetooth to enjoy music, which made for a very private and comfortable stay.
