The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. We had an incredible stay at the Golden Crown Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us so kindly. They were attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Priyantha a the front door would greet us with a smile everytime we would come and go from the hotel, Kavisha was incredible with our kids and checked in frequently via WhatsApp to see if we needed anything and Ajith at breakfast was very attentive to our family. The room was very spacious, a crib was provided for our baby, it was clean and had a nice balcony. The breakfast and dinner buffet offered both Sri Lankan and western options, enough to please every taste. They have high chairs which is a big plus for us. The pool is breathtaking and the poolside menu was good and affordable They even had a kids club our son enjoyed playing at. Finally, Parking was available, we left our car there and took tuktuks to town. The hotel is very close to the town center. We recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!

Well located in Kandy, Villa Olde Ceylon is a recently renovated guest house, which provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and free private parking. The warm hosts were so welcoming. They helped arrange an excellent tuk tuk driver and recommended a simple restaurant with the best Indian food I have ever had times a million. They also provided us with a delicious breakfast each morning and made us feel at home.

Clean spacy rooms, big bathroom, fully equipped kitchen. Breathtaking view from infinity pool. But above all, incredible staff led by manager Rodney. First night hotel owner came to play and sing Sri Lankan music on his guitar. They prepared seafood plater and mixed grill on the rooftop. Even next morning at 5 am, when our pick-up driver didn't show up, Rodney ordered 2 staff members to take us to train and Ella. Even train tickets and seats where arranged by Matisha. They saved our day.

I loved the view. Room had private pool overlooking mountains with a breath taking view. Food was delicious. We ordered from hotel restaurant and prices were good. The place is quiet. Staff are very nice and helpful. I loved the outdoor shower with indoor bathroom. Room had ac. Bathroom had hot water. Towels were supplied and clean. Sheets smelled nice and fresh. It was my sister birthday and they prepared a complimentary small cute cake with few balloons. It was nice. They offered inroom breakfast but we had it in restaurant to avoid bugs and ants.

Constant follow-up and updates from Kanchana is highly appreciated. The mornings are welcome by peacock sound from the bushes from the rear of the residence.

Amazing home in the countryside with stunning mountain views. Super peaceful. Comfortable bed and good shower. Spotlessly clean Delicious breakfasts with pancakes/French toast, eggs and fruit. I felt very looked after and safe during my stay (so important especially as a female solo traveller). The house manager Krishna was attentive professional and friendly. The owner Mr Piyal was also helpful with arranging a tour for me, and helping with directions to the property
