We stayed for one night but next time we’ll manage to stay more. The property is very nice & Elizabeth and the staff are always available to make you feel cared. The room was cozy, spacious and well designed. Special mention for the kitchen: delicious dishes and authentic Ceylon’s experience. Well definitely come back. The garden is also beautiful and you can go to the beach, which is just in front of the house.

It's a great place to start or end your stay in beautiful Sri Lanka. Only 30 minutes away from the busy airport, you arrive through a beautiful alley of mangrove trees to be greeted by the great team of Ging Oya. Imasha, Romesh, Nilantha and all the other staff make you feel right at home. The food is freshly prepared and tastes great. The pool is clean, large and a nice way to cool down. If you like nature and some quiet time, you should definitely plan to stay at Ging Oya. I know, I will again next time!

Very quiet relaxing spot with well designed units. The service and food were excellent. An enjoyable 15 minute bicycle (they are free) ride to Elements Resort on the beach. The owner Anushka is a wealth of knowledge and was able to organize dolphin watching and onward travel for a reasonable price.

Anawasal offers lagoon front accommodation and yoga classes in Kalpitiya. Free private parking is available on site. Beautiful location right at the tip of Kalpitiya. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. Friendly staff and dogs. Beautifully decorated place to stay that focuses on sustainability, which I applaud. The food was amazingly delicious that was cooked with local ingredients. It offers yoga sessions and a boat ride to explore beyond its location.

We had an amazing stay at Elegant Hamlets Home Stay, an absolute true gem with serene surroundings for relaxing, extremely modern, spacious and built to Western and European standards, the Hosts Sherine and Chamara are extremely friendly and helpful and makes you feel welcome and right at home. The jetted pool is nothing short of your own private little oasis, the home meals are absolutely delightful, the facilities are outstanding and include a well equipped beautiful outdoor kitchen area beside the villa, water, coffee and tea facilities are readily available in the villa. While we had a dialog tourist phone plan, we found the in house wifi to be very fast and reliable.This was our favourite homestay in Sri Lanka and we highly recommend this Homestay. Side note; google street view map is outdated, the area and roads are very good and built up, tuk tuk’s and PickMe are readily available. A big thanks and gratitude to our wonderful hosts! The service at Wild Wadi Wilpattu is impeccable. You will never meet people who will do more for you. The location is a serene paradise; when you stroll out in the morning you see peacocks and monkeys, and in the evening you can sup a cold beer and watch the forest colors change from green to purple to black. It’s a magical place. The food was amazing and the full day safari they arranged for us was superb. The hospitality of Aryun and team was unrivaled. You can book with one of the incredibly expensive places that come up first on google, or you can book with Wild Wadi Wilpattu and have a more personal experience for half the price.

Featuring free WiFi, Villa Sethawadi Hotel and Kitesurf Centre offers pet-friendly accommodation in Kalpitiya. Full service kite surf center and school, free private parking is available on site. We recently stayed at Villa Sethawadi and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The place itself is incredibly beautiful, set right on the serene lagoon, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our entire stay. The service was exceptional—every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They were attentive, friendly, and consistently made us feel genuinely welcomed. One of the highlights of our stay was the food prepared by their amazing chef. After dining at several restaurants in the area, I can confidently say that none matched the quality, taste, or presentation of the meals we enjoyed at Villa Sethawadi. Each dish was expertly crafted, delicious, and beautifully presented. The pool area was inviting and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures. For kite and windsurfing enthusiasts, Villa Sethawadi is ideally located, allowing easy access directly from the property to the lagoon. A word of caution though—be mindful of the sharp thorns around the area, or better yet, use the hotel's own kite school service, which conveniently takes you by boat to the prime surfing spots on the other side of the lagoon. Overall, our stay at Villa Sethawadi was exceptional. Highly recommended!
