The place has amazing views and we found it very relaxing to come back after a long day of sightseeing. Amenities were very nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. The pool, tennis courts and offering of kayaks and equipment was very kind of the host to offer. The grocery stores and restaurants were close, a short drive for us. The unit was very modern and clean and much larger than expected. Whitianga is a very beautiful relaxing town and this unit was in a great location.

The location up on Coromandel Peninsula is simply beautiful. We walked across the road to the rocky beach for sunset each evening, where you could hear a pin drop, very peaceful! This is a lodge that caters to campers as well as folks renting kitchenette rooms, like us. People come here for the fishing, and I heard it was very good. If we had stayed another day, it would have been fun to go out on a charter boat for a day of fishing. We went on excursions each day, one was to hike the Coromandel Coastal Walkway, just fantastic. There is no shortage of fun things to see and do here. You do have to bring groceries with you, as there is no restaurant nearby.

Warren and Carol greeted us warmly upon our arrival, delivered delicious breakfasts each morning, restocked our supplied throughout the stay, and provided excellent recommendations. We cannot recommend this enough!

The cottage has charm, beautiful views and it’s in a very quiet location. The space is private with ample parking for a large car. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, and Anna-Marie keeps the fridge stocked with all essential items, breakfast and snacks throughout the day. There was fresh eggs, bacon, cheese, jam, bread, croissants, smoked salmon, fruit, yogurt, cereal, all different kinds of beverages, cookies, etc. Anna-Marie also stopped by and delivered fresh produce and additional snacks! She was warm, welcoming, and very quick to respond to messages. The small kitchen has everything you need, including a portable HOB burner and an electric frying pan for cooking. Everything is stored in the kitchen cupboards. We loved having air conditioning as we were there during a heat wave. Finally, the best part of our stay was the hospitality of our hosts. I highly recommend this peaceful paradise!
