The Devon Hotel and Conference Centre boasts a buffet restaurant, a heated outdoor pool and free use of mountain bikes. The property offers free on-site parking and free WiFi. Everything. The rooms had everything I needed, free parking outside. It had a pool and good beer in the bar. Nice little courtyard. The owners obviously care, and there’s attention to detail. It’s the best hotel I’ve stayed in and I’ve done the whole of North Island. I’ve stayed in a lot more expensive and fancier ones, but I prefer this one all day long.

Auto Lodge New Plymouth offers a restaurant, bar, heated pool and hot tub, just 5 minutes’ walk from Fitzroy Beach. Great for families and children. Close to the beach and amenities. Good value for money. Friendly, helpful staff.

The place has a wonderful feature for holidays - a heated pool. You can enjoy it very much. This is the best feature of the house, which is worth the price. The kitchen is a bit old-fashioned and could be better equipped, but you can still cook basic meals and enjoy them. The bedrooms are spacious, but they lack a heating option; although the rooms have heaters, not every room has one. The fireplace is warming and cosy, the sofa is extremely comfortable, and you can enjoy evenings in there. It has a room like an attic, our son loved it, and he enjoyed playing here. The garage is perfect for a rental car, it feels safe, and you can use it. The washing room is well-equipped, allowing you to wash and dry quickly. It's really worth the money. You can enjoy it with family and kids.
