Luis and the staff was fantastic and very welcoming. Her helped us with information for visiting the city and local restaurants. The estate is well kept and classic with the times. Breakfast was great. Parking was easy in the lot or on the side street. Rooms were very comfortable.

Located near Serra da Estrela, this 250-year old manor house has historic furnishings and artistic accessories. Each themed room is a reminder of older way of life. The house has been in the family since the 17th Century which made this an exceptionally interesting place to stay. We liked the mix of old antiques/ paintings and contemporary paintings by the owner’s brother. The breakfast was delicious with many sweet and savory choices. Playing billiards in this setting was certainly memorable. If the owner had offered a tour of the house with the history of the structure and contents we would have said yes. Also, there was a loud rock music band in the square nearby - we never heard it
