Incredible place for a relaxing weekend! We enjoyed everything : the spa, the food and the amazing view. A place to go with your lover :)

Douro Hotel Porto Antigo ligger i en historisk byggnad vid floden Douro. Här finns en utomhuspool och en restaurang som serverar europeiska rätter. Massagebehandlingar erbjuds också. Gorgeous view of the river. Staff was really nice and attentive.

Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food ligger i en historisk herrgård, och omges av en trädgård och vingårdar. Anläggningen har utsikt över den natursköna Dourodalen. The location in a mountain village with views over Douro valley is amazing. We arrived by train to Pinhão station and took a taxi to the hotel. It’s 15 minutes drive with awesome views and it costs around 12€. You should definitely take the dinner prepared by the owner himself, it worths a gourmet restaurant’s menu with wine pairing. Even if it is not said, actually it includes the experience of tasting different kinds of wine from their own vineyard. As we informed Senhor Miguel earlier, the dinner menu was adapted to my parents’ alimentary restrictions. The hotel itself is in a renovated mansion like historical building, so full of charm. We will definitely come back and we will definitely order their great red wine that we can’t forget!
