We had a wonderful stay; the hosts were very welcoming and everything was thought so we would have a great and relaxing time. The Supermoon is very cleverly arranged and there was everything we needed there. The homemade breakfast was great too as well as all the explanations, information and visit ideas that were shared with us. We really had a lovely and relaxing experience.

Hotell Kung Gösta is just around the corner from Mora Train Station and 20 minutes’ walk from the Zorn Museum. Tomteland Theme Park is only a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Very friendly staff that made a solo traveller welcome. Buffet meals had plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. Having a small indoor pool and sauna was great but I did not have time to explore these fully. Bag drop and shower after my cross country ski race and after check out was the icing on the cake. 5 min walk to train station has to be up there too.

Hotell Gyllene Hornet is located 1.5 km from Tällberg Train Station. It offers free WiFi and free private parking. Guests enjoy sauna access, a 20-metre indoor pool and views over Lake Siljan. It was out in the countryside where it was peaceful. It was also near Dalhalla where I attended a concert.

Housed in a 15th-century farmhouse, this Dalarna countryside hotel is 400 meters from Lake Siljan. It offers free Wi-Fi and charming rooms with luxury beds and a flat-screen TV. It’s a lovely family owned hotel with a very long history. The hotel is very cosy with lots of attention to details. We stayed in the main building and everything was easily accessible for my elderly parents. I celebrated my 60th birthday there and it was perfect with a beautiful mini suite and excellent food and wine. It’s a bit expensive but at least we felt it was worthwhile. So rare to find a good hotel that also has a good restaurant. The outdoor heated pool was a lovely place to relax.

Elite Hotel Brage is located in downtown Borlänge in the heart of Dalarna, a 5-minute walk from the Central Train Station. We liked everything! Parking in the garage was convenient and we didn’t have to worry about snow or cold outside, so worth paying that extra for the comfort. We booked a slot in Vana SPA - simply perfect, worth the extra pay: a small but reasonable pool as the number of guests at a time is limited, not crowded, a good sauna and cold-plunge bath, cozy bathrobes, individual/pair chézlongs with big towels, drinks and light snack for extra pay and most importantly - a super welcoming and caring personnel. The lady that worked on the evening 22/11/2025 was fantastic! The same goes for all the other staff that we met - friendly and welcoming indeed, thank you for that! Also bed was perfect for us as we enjoy a bit more steady madrases. When back home I thought of reaching out to hotel and asking the type of madrases that they have and maybe replacing one at our home :) I think we had a deluxe double room with a sofa bed for our son, it was big enough, clean and we got a small welcome note from the hotel - it made us feel welcomed and candies made our son super happy. Breakfast had plenty of choices so we were happy there as well.

Price was good compared to the hotel and location. Beautiful view. My partner and I even managed to see the nothern light from our hotel room. Staff was an absolute delight. Super helpful and kind both from the lovely receptionists to the waiters in the restaurant. Even before we arrived they were great at accommodating my requests and helping me find transport to the hotel. The spa was small but very lovely after a long day of skiing. The breakfast included was good and healthy! With some Scandinavian treats included. It was walking distance from the lifts.
