It is a family owned and managed hotel and you can see the attention and love they put on it. Paradise for kids, from the kids area which is a two floor inside park to the spa for kids. Nice swimming pool and sauna area for adult. We had the experience of sauna with a true sauna master! Dinner has a generous buffet and the eggs area at breakfast is a must as well. You may need to learn a basic a German with some waiter but this just add to the characteristic environment.

The staff is really nice speaking in Italian with us, we felt welcome, and the attention to details like the handwritten (again in italian) welcome messages or communication were really appreciated. The SPA area is really good, modern, clean and with great relaxing area. Breakfast was rich and of good quality.

Great skiing resort.

Great skiing resort. Many ski-lifts and pistes to explore and they are all well prepared. The pistes are not too difficult, most of them are of medium difficulty, but there are also some pistes suited for learning skiers. There is also a possibility to trek to the nearest peaks with or without the help of ski-lifts. The wellness is also great with an outside heated pool from where you can see the ski pistes. The area is well suited for families since it is peaceful and quiet.

Patergassen is vey small but Bad Kleinkirchheim just 7km...

Patergassen is vey small but Bad Kleinkirchheim just 7km away has everything you need plus cable cars and walking routes. The other way it is easy to reach the knockalm toll route which is stunning, and Turracherhohe cable car. The gem museum in Turracher is also worth a visit. Getting the Kärntnen card in the summer gives very good value for visitors.

Lovely place for holiday with kids.

Lovely place for holiday with kids. When it’s full of snow it is absolutely magical. We stayed in Nockalm hotel and this place is excellent for kids and beginners. Slopes right behind the hotel and ski school as well. Everyone is very friendly and we felt very welcome

We were at this location for 4 days in August.

We were at this location for 4 days in August. Nearby is Turracher Höhe, where you can go hiking or take the cable car – they also have a great trail for kids. If you want to visit Ossiacher See or some of the other nearby lakes, it takes about an hour by car, so for some people it might feel a bit far from those destinations. But for us, it was perfectly fine and we really enjoyed our stay here.

The town is wonderful.

The town is wonderful. I can imagine it in a beautiful winter idyll, covered in snow and illuminated with lights. Autumn time - just as beautiful, but the fact is that after 10 o'clock everything closes. I would also like to see more cycling areas clearly marked - they lack this in snow-free times.

We really enjoyed the location.

We really enjoyed the location. Beautiful chalets, bright and spacious, very well equipped. 4 bedrooms and each has its bathroom, one separate toilet and another shower in the sauna area. Walking distance to ski area. The only thing we didn't like are the ski slopes, too challenging for a beginner. Overall, great vacation during Christmas, and would definitely recommend it. It met our expectations

Nice town, not too crowded in september.

Nice town, not too crowded in september. There is a great country bike trail, 15 km long. For all age and even for those with less experience on trails and for children. There are also other more dificult trails within 20-30 min car ride. An ofcorse a lot of beautifull mountains, a lot of them are above 2000m. They are covered in blueberries!
