Very nice, quiet, traditional village from Tyrol. We had a chance to eat the local cuisine in a very nice restaurant at an affordable price. Good supermarkets and ski rental facilities. The ski domain is very large, suitable for everyone (from beginners to performers). The ski cabin is placed in the centre of the village, easy reachable by car, green ski bus or even by foot. Perhaps a small downside, in case of heavy snow you might risk being temporary locked on the adjacent steep and narrow access roads. Also, in you case you rely on public transport for your holiday it might be a bit complicated as the train stops in the valley.
Beautiful scenery. Lovely food. Clean fresh air. Very compact resort, great to walk around. If you like shopping take the train to either Innsbruck or back to Munich. Do many wonderful restaurants, try walking out to Triendlsege and having lunch. Absolutely delightful with many traditional Tyrolean specialities.
Cozy city with lots of monuments and places to visit. The bell museum & foundry is interesting and, for typical music and dance there's a Tyrolean show (Tiroler Abend Family Gundolf) with folk songs, intruments and yodeling. For Swarovski Crystal World in Wattens, nice options for kids to play.
The Stubai Glacier is an awesome ski resort. I'm an inexperienced middle-aged skier, and could have easily been intimidated by the highest peak in the South Tyrol, but this place is phenomenally picturesque and has slopes for every skill level - i loved it! An immensly popular ski area, yet the huge gondolas and efficient lifts handled the crowds with ease - you were always moving. Spent 2 days skiing here. Stubai Gletscher is on the Olympiaworld pass. (Feb, 2017)
My daughter and i want to move here! She loves outdoor adventure and i love history. Such a homey feel to the city. Great shoping but not too much. Not many tourists either. Austrians in their Tyrolian garb seen everywhere😀 Check put the alpine zoo if you're an animal lover or have kids. Get rolls and cold cuts and Red Bull for a picnic in the Hof Garden. Indoor farmers market everyday...check it out. If uou only have a day get a locker st the train station and walk around. Buy the 24 hour Innsbruck card.
We spent only 4 days in Hinterux, mainly around hotel. Nature, mountains, scenery, hiking, skiing - that is all great. Summer in Tyrolean Alps is a new experience for me and will for sure come here again and for a longer period.
Best Time to visit starting mid of May till Mid of June to enjoy the weather, place and all area around before hot summer and before the Holidays period Sunny days will be the best One of the best spots I've ever been to "TYROL"
Downtown is so walkable and a great public transportation system. Beautiful mountains all around. The Socher cafe is genuine from the Hotel Socher in Vienna without the lineup to get in. Of course the best Socher Torte. The historical museum at the ski jump has a wonderful mural of an historical battle between the Tyroleans and Bavarians. Get the English headphones for the explanation for f the scene depicted before you in 360 degrees.
A typical small Tyrolean town without all the touristy flash. Close to the castles of Germany and an awesome ruin 10 minutes outside of town. Go to sleep to cow bells and wake up to church bells.
+ Small town that kept some Tyrolean atmosphere. You even see people with traditional costumes occasionally. - Not easy with heavy luggage on foot, the center is stone paved roads on somewhat steep terrain
Fliess
A Comfortable room for a family of 5. The place has 2 apartments, one at the ground floor and one at the upper floor. We stayed at the upper floor and it has a nice view from the balcony. There's one room for the parents and one room for up to 3 children. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom. The location was good for us, traveling at the west side of Tyrol in the summer. About 6 minutes drive up the hill from the main road. The village is quite. There's a super market near the zimmer.
Sölden
Our family (with 2 kids) enjoyed 4 nights of stay at Apart Tyrolis during our Fall break ski trip and absolutely loved it. Great location: ski rental is cross the street; super market is right next door; it's just a few minutes' walk to the ski bus stop. The apartment was roomy and clean, with amazing mountain views. Bruno the host was super friendly and helpful. He was always there when we needed help. We will definitely come back again!
Neustift im Stubaital
Spacious and newly renovated, 3 bedroom apartment. Perfect for families who like to explore the Tyrol. There is a fully equipped large kitchen with a very nice dining area, big enough for a family of 5. Bedrooms are big with comfy beds and there is a nice balcony viewing the mountains one can relax on. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful. Together with two bathrooms it really is a perfect place for families at a really reasonable price.
Hötting, Innsbruck
Excellent location, with stunning mountain views and Tyrolean architecture. A 15 minute walk into town, with regular buses (free with your Welcome Card, which even covers airport buses). The apartment is huge, and the photos pretty accurate. The IKEA-furnished double-aspect bedroom is a nice contract to the darker rooms. with a very useful covered veranda. The kitchen is reasonably well-equipped. Check-in very easy.
The hotel is beautifully located in an unspoilt area in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps, after 9 p.m. only the sound of the stream running past the hotel can be heard. The room is cosy and spacious, perfectly isolated from sunlight. My wife and I took advantage of an offer that included dinner, which turned out to be delicious. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
I believe it is my 8th time at the Tyrolerhof and it has an amazing dining room and restaurant. There's a huge variety of foods (both dinner and breakfast), it's a nice mix of a buffet and selection of main course (unlike many half board hotels where you need to decide on your main course at breakfast, here you can choose it at the buffet and see the serving before you make the choice).
Hotel is very nice, like what you imagine when thinking about Tyrollean style, quite and great located right near the bus stop. The hostess is great! Very helpful. Breakfast is good European-style, but you can choose a drink from a wide variety of them! We booked a room for 4 person and it was really big and clean on the top floor. Swimming pool is not very big, children loved it.
This is probably the most quiet place where I ever been! If you need some relax, this is the place. During Summer time the area is pretty touristic, but this spot is somehow isolated from the biggest villages and it is really a nice place for a quiet break. Typical Tyrolean house, furnished in Tyrolean style. There are also a sauna & a small gym: definitively a plus.
the hotel was excellent and in a prime location the staff were very helpful and attentive to your every need . I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a really good holiday in the Austrian Tyrol . we had half board and the food was great and you had a new menu to choose from each day, having stayed 28days the menus were never repeated once during that time
Kitzbühel
The location of the apartment is fantastic, both for tours in Kitzbühel itself, and as a base for a sightseeing trip in Tyrol. The apartment itself is spacious, pleasant, clean, and equipped with everything you need, including a garden. Ingrid, the landlady, is charming, energetic and very nice. We enjoyed every moment and we highly recommend it. Haim and Ruthi Reva
Mayrhofen
Christian and his partner are amazing, very welcoming hosts. The apartment is beautiful, new and very well thought: greatly equipped and quiet, with lots of attention to detail in the interior and nice touches of typical Tyrol design. It's located close to the city center, the supermarket is within few minutes of walking. Lots of great outdoor possibilities nearby
It’s a really nice (modern) traditional tyrolean hotel that focuses on ecofriendly and sustainable tourism. There were lots of self service elements that we found a little bit confusing in the beginning (mostly due to our limited German), but once we figured it out we loved it! And the breakfast was just amazing - so many fresh choices! Loved it!
Great little kitchen with everything you need. Some Mountain View’s. Great little touches with breakfast supplies and coffee for free. Good sound insulation between rooms. Very clean and fresh. Clever room design. Within walking distance of the Tyrolean Evening show. Top tip: there is a fresh milk self service from the farm close to the hotel!
Isserwirt is in the beautiful alpine village of Lans, minutes from Innsbrook. The historic hotel had modern comfortable rooms within a beautiful, family run traditional hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed traditional Tyrolian cuisine in the excellent restaurant and had a great time hiking the area during the day.
Seefeld in Tirol
Recently renovated apartment. Nice modern decor. Well equipped flat. Good location for the Triendelsäge area. A bit further away from the center of the village, but easy flat access (15' walking). Good restaurant on the ground floor going beyond the traditional more touristic Tyrolian dishes. Friendly host.
Sankt Anton am Arlberg
The location is excellent, near the station and a short walk from the Galzig lift. AlpTyrol gave us complimentary cards that allowed us to keep our skis and boots at the Intersport shop, near the lift. That was a real bonus. It was also a short walk to the Spar Supermarket.
besides all obvious highlights like cleanliness and fantastic staff - super attentive and super nice and kind people - if you want to see an Alpine hotel of the future but still featuring beautiful Tyrollean style and architecture - stay at Alpbacherin Hotel!! ******
Excellent staff, service, rooms and breakfast. All the facilities you could want or need are provided. We used the hotel as a base for snowboarding around the Tyrol Valley. They even have a heated boot room which was excellent. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast buffet had every choice available. The fresh orange juicer was heavily used by our group. Dinner was of a consistent very high standard. Staff were very efficient and friendly. The comfort was typical of Tyrolean luxury hotels.
Generally hotel is lovely. In traditional tyrol style. We got a bit unlucky with the room on the ground floor and it was very noisy in the early morning. Apart from that - the locations is close to Penken and main street with restaurants.
