As like for other wine regions we tried to find a hotel with a winery in walking distance. This one is about 500m from Bimbadgen Estate, which features a high quality restaurant, a cellar door and a pizzeria, and we made use of all of that. We had a friendly welcome at H Boutique Hotel (also by some roos, which enjoyed the rain), and got a big room, in fact it's an apartment with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room and a terrace. There's of course ample parking. Next to the reception there's an interesting shop / bar / cellar door... don't know what to call it, but we enjoyed a nice cheese and wine tasting there, and the next day a breakfast too (it's not open every day though, but we were lucky). It was perfect for the rainy day we had on arrival. Apart from the winery you can walk to, you're very close by car to every other Hunter Valley attraction and winery.

My stay at Cedars was amazing. It's exactly like the photos but better! From the moment you arrive, your villa is set up as such a relaxing mood. If you're looking for a very peaceful and relaxing stay, I couldn't recommend this place more. Our only regret was not staying another day!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. We stayed in the studio cabins, the location was perfect and very centrally located. Our cabin was at the back of the property so was very quiet and was lovely waking up to the Kangaroos each morning.

So many options to enjoy food and wine. The Smokehouse at Lovedale! Divine Cheeses and Chocolate and Coffee. By far the people who made our whole trip enjoyable. An atmosphere of calm and nothing was a bother.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, and all the facilities exceeded our expectations. The coffee machine was a great bonus! It’s an ideal choice for family trips, and its location makes visiting nearby wineries very convenient. Situated right in the heart of Maitland, the hotel is surrounded by shopping, dining, and leisure options. The riverside walkway was perfect for morning and evening dog walks. We stayed with our pet, and the pet fee was very reasonable. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Like the hot air balloon experience with Balloon Aloft and the Taste of the Hunter tour with Two Fat Blokes Gourmet Tours and visiting Hunter Valley Wildlife Park. Only negative was a lot of places were closed New Years Eve and New Years day.

We went to the Deck cafe and they had good service and served Cold brew coffee which was awesome considering we went on a hot weekend. We were close to everything in the Hunter and wineries, we went to the Handmade markets on Sobel estate winery and this was great too - got some awesome homemade food there. We had a lovely welcome at Jimmy Joans resturant and Bar and sat outside with great atmostphere and live music only dissappointment was ordering garlic prawns for $28 and getting 4 prawns only in that dish. Aside from that the wine was lovely and staff were friendly.

Our trip was for 2 nights to visit family cousins and to see the old homes of my grandparents and great grandparents and after our visits we were disappointed as there was very little to do while we were in Singleton Town Centre.

The property does not deserve a 8.1 rating. Could not use the shower or the air conditioner due to there below poor condition, including foul smell. Beds were terrible. Motel was cramped with terrible parking. It was a very unpleasant stay, we couldn’t wait to leave.

Muswellbrook tend to be my home town soon.

Muswellbrook tend to be my home town soon. A lot of activities for the kids around the town: parks, playgrounds even there is a ten pin bowling and cinema. It is a bit unexpected to be so community focused for a small rural town. Good restaurants are available: Indian, Thai, Chinese cousins and of course traditional Aussie pubs. The prices are average, so you will be pleased of not spending too much. 2 shopping malls are also available with all 3 main Australia grocery stores, so not an issue to top up your stock before travelling further inland.

Stop the people drinking & smoking in groups outside their room entrances, not backing in utes to sit on back & booze & smoke, should have assigned area for that not close to next units entrance. Have been coming to same motel for 20 years & always been good, but really needs some control, should not have to wade past groups of drinkers to get to your car & door.

Strathearn Park Lodge was the best place that I stayed on my roadtrip to Scone. The hospitality, luxury surrounds, scenic views, breakfast included, Lyn and Peter were all amazing. I would highly recommmend Strathearn Park Lodge in Scone!

Enjoyed parklands & wetlands nearby! Good central area for lower Hunter valley. Train station very close to motel to travel into Newcastle & Maitland & upper Hunter. Very close to Expressway entry & the new section coming soon just to the east with new Hunter river bridge!
