We arrived early but were able to park across from the hotel and store our luggage.
The receptionist was so helpful and friendly and helped us find a car wash.
The rooms are huge and big comfortable beds. There is a tv, fridge and safe. It says the room is 14sqm but its much, much bigger than that.
Also has a very large bathroom, with a big shower, lots of hot water.
The wifi is great too.
We had breakfast included which was a great selection. Lovely hot coffee as well.
Next door is a fabulous restaurant and we had dinner there. Not sure if it's part of the hotel, but highly recommend it.
My husband had a massage and said it was fabulous.
So, all in all, everything was perfect and we didn't need to leave the hotel.
Thanks very much to the receptionist for her warmth and help and the lovely girl at breakfast.

We enjoyed absolutely everything that the guest house offers. The rooms are extremely cozy and clean. When we entered in our room we felt like we are going home- the interior is perfect, with a lot of wood, a really nice library, good lighting and amazing view of the forest across the house.
The location is very quiet and you can fully rest. The owners are very friendly and kind people, who made sure we had everything we need for a calm stay in the woods.
They prepared for us, and for the rest of the guests vere tasty meals for breakfast and dinner. Their cats and dog make you feel at home.
Hands down, this is the best place we have stayed so far. Surely, we will return someday and cuddle with Bertha (their dog) again.

Definitely worth a weekend trip. We stayed in the main School house. Incredible large rooms with real fireplace and the whole place had a relaxing ambiance, Pool looked nice for the summer, Nice village above the Krushuna Waterfalls. Friendly welcoming staff. Good for a long weekend. Around the village are many caves and there is horse riding, 2 trampolines and table tennis.

The hosts are great, friendly, helpful, would advise you on anything you need. The loaction of the place is amazing - you can view the moutnain tops form the comfort of your terrace, you are surrounded by nature. Everything was perfect - I strongly recommend for nature lovers.

The national park and the waterfalls are well worth visiting...
The national park and the waterfalls are well worth visiting if you enjoy a long walk and climb to see the magnificent falls. There is also a huge swimming pool just inside the entrance gate that costs extra to access, and we thought of going to it until they started to play this extremely loud terrible thump thump noise that is supposed to be music that really has no place in a beautiful scenic national park where one comes to enjoy nature, quietness and solitude! There are several restaurants and a hotel in the park.
The actual town of Krushuna is in a very beautiful quiet setting and has a river running along one side of it alongside the hills above it, two okay restaurants, and one useless so called supermarket that is very small and has minimal stocks and not even any cereals to buy!

Great ancient monuments!
Great ancient monuments! Nice fantastic covered bridge of Kolio Ficheto. The combination of Balkan forest with the music of ringing churches brings peace plus excitement of the historical part of the city Lovech.

I truly wish I had stayed longer to explore more of the area, enjoy the surroundings, and experience the local culture even more. It’s definitely a place worth spending extra time in.

The hotel is very basic but has what you need.
The hotel is very basic but has what you need. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were not good either too soft or too hard. There is food on the premises until 5pm There is a kitchen so you can cook your own but you would need a car to go to the town for shopping.
The waterfalls are really nice and well kept. It is a lovely place to stay overnight.

The city is clean and small, with a central area that has few shops, hotels and restaurants. The most of the buildings are from comunist era and many look deserted and unused for a long time.
F8r a short week-end the city is a good place to stat foe 1-2 nights as a base for scanning and visiting the beautiful natural surrounding area.

When we arrived, we learned about a festival that weekend in a village close by. It surprised me that I hadn’t found information about it before. Troyan is probably overrun by tourists during the big religious festival in mid-August and therefore I would recommend visiting earlier. There is plenty to do, and one can find quiet contemplation in the monastery too.

It so happened there was a carnival and loud music till late...
It so happened there was a carnival and loud music till late night, but there where very nice paths to have a walk in the woods. Two of them start almost from the town. There are also others nearby like - "Glozhene Monastery - Morovitza cave", or the one to the Benkovski cave.
Very beautiful sceneries and calmimg humming of the river!

Lovech is a beautiful city as it has its own history related to Bulgarian. Just visit the museums, old town, the fortress and don't get away from the traditional restaurants (there are really good ones).
At the area just go to Krushuna waterfalls, Devetashka cave and if get lucky and interested in, maybe you'll able to visit some hidden gems :)

It is a lovely town in the mountains, the views are simply incredible! It is a very friendly town, where people have time to chat to you, and so many excellent places to eat! We particularly enjoyed the trip to Troyan Monastery, such a fantastic place, and the museum in Troyan town centre is also good. My only criticism of the town is that public transport is not great, and also that hiking is made quite difficult (and not so enjoyable) by the sheer quantity of bugs, who do not seem to be deterred by any insect repellent. Overall, if you want a more authentic taste of Bulgaria, with beautiful buildings, great food and kind people then Troyan is a great choice!
