If you are wondering if you should stay here - JUST DO IT!   I had the pleasure to spend a week at this hotel and let me say this is not your typical hotel…nor your typical Doubletree…this is better. This Doubletree in Plovdiv Center is virtually brand new, only 3 months since it opened - and in pristine condition.  The rooms are cozy with comfortable beds, awesome duvets and pillows.  Black out drapes as well as sheer curtains. Trust me, close to impossible to wake up in the morning, you will want to stay in bed all day! 😉😊  Rooms have a desk, mini refrigerator, and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries. Large plush bath towels. Amazing shower pressure/hot water. The rooms are super quiet, and well thought out with the various lighting options. There is an amazing fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment and 24/7 access, I have never seen a hotel with a fitness center like this!  There is a restaurant and a bar on site.  There is also a huge breakfast buffet that even has a huge real honeycomb to sweeten your tea!. Oh and how could I forget the famous doubletree cookies! 😋  The best part of this hotel is the staff.  I want to acknowledge the friendly, dedicated, helpful staff that went above and beyond to make my stay amazing: Arda, Hristo, Garo, Petar, Kostadin, Bayazid, Marianna, Radoslava, Tina. You are all so truly wonderful, genuine and made my stay not 'just another few nights in a hotel,' but a memory I will cherish❤️   Благодаря ви отново за всичко. Надявам се скоро да се видим отново!🌼

Absolutely loved the hotel. Everything is very new and fresh with contemporary decor. Breakfast was wonderful with a great and varied selection of both hot and cold food. They also own a beer hall next door where you get 10% off the bill on presentation of your room card. Food here is pretty typical German beer hall and surprisingly good too. Staff were very helpful and friendly as well. If I had one criticism, I found the bed too soft, but hey my partner loved it so it really does depend on your preference. In terms of TV Chanel preference I would like to see a few more English language channels given that we were in a 1 fed suite with 2 TVs. Although it’s not in the old town it only took a 10 minute drive to get there so the location wasn’t a problem either. Would definitely book here again if back in Plovdiv.

we spent three glorious days in this hotel! So many nice things to say. most importantly is the breakfast. In all my travels and hotels with breakfast included the one is THE BEST I have ever experienced! Rooms are super comfy as well. they actually have two different pillow sizes for you to choose from. Very spacious rooms. Front desk was very helpful as well. called us a taxi and made suggestions for where to go. 10/10 superb!!

I was passing by and needed to stay one night, without knowing how wonderful this hotel was. Spacious room, super clean and well designed, surely exceeded my expectations, I wished I could have stayed more! Breakfast was amazing with an outdoor seating with a huge selection.     What a great family run hotel. Our apartment for 4 was big, clean and had all the amenities you need, just bring shampoo with you. We booked here for the pool and let me tell you it did not disappoint. It had a shallow side for toddlers and a deeper end for the older kids and adults. There was a great little pool side bar for when you get thirsty. Breakfast came with 5 options to pick from and we were very satisfied, left with our bellies full. I will be coming back here next time I am near Asenovgrad, 10/10!

    Plovdiv is a beautiful place and full of great people and wonderful places to visit. The only issue I found is not many people speak English especially the older generation. Young people speak English so whenever I am stuck to explain things I looked for a young person who was happy to translate.

    Food and service at Sani was very good. Train journey to Plovdiv good and very cheap. Trail walks good. Asenovgrad is changing rapidly, new buildings generally look really good. Sign Communication and rubbish collection needs to improve. As does an explanation of how to get to eg pamporovo.

    I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil...

    I think every Bulgarian must visit the Museum of Vasil Levski - it is kind of mandatory, we are obliged as descendants of those brave men. The other place that charmed us was a restaurant called "Едно време" (Once Upon a Time). It has a great atmosphere and service, and the cuisine is delicious.

    Visited for hiking to Balkan Mts, Botev Peak. Enjoyed our stay and the mountain. Imposing Socialist monument at the centre of the town. Nice restaurant at the very center. Nice draft beer and nice surrounding. Other restaurants of Kalofer were closed at the afternoon. We were surprised with the road network of Bulgaria which is in very good condition. Make sure you pay the appropriate vignette online before entering the country by car.

Unique design of the common spaces in the spirit of Bulgarian tradition. Spacious and comfortable hotel room. I’d recommend everyone to experience our pleasure of staying.

    Perushtitsa is a small picturesque town, located at the outskirts of Rhodope Mountains. There are several tourist trails that start from the center of the town to the nearby mountains. Perushtitsa played a key part in Bulgarian history during the 1876 uprising against the Ottoman rule and during the Unification of Bulgaria with Eastern Rumelia. There is a museum at the center of the town and several historical places in the city. Perushtitsa also has a very good beer brewery at the edge of the town with taproom and a huge yard, that is very family friendly.

    I have been to Plovdiv many times, and I come back every chance I get. All I can say is that if you haven't visited Plovdiv, what have you been doing with your life? :-) Must-sees are the Bishop's Basilica of Philippopolis and the Cat & Mouse Bar!

    This is a great place to visit. My son broke my camera, so I have only half memories documented. More to that, mineral water was off on our second day of staying. I am not sure how and why, but yeah... The town is worth visiting. Do it once and decide for yourself if it is worth to come back. For you. We will some day

    Forte was quite small but if your into history or just the views well worth a visit parking and entry for two people 9 leva as you would expect lost of steps put all had safety railings you will need to Google the history of the forte and church as on site information is limited
