The property is in a premium location for accessing the old and new city sites, it is in stellar condition, we had traditional Bulgarian breakfasts, and there’s a rustic old bar right next door! Unsure how you beat that. Regardless, I’ve learned that travel is really about the people you meet and Dimitar took great care of us when our travel plans went south.

the city has a lot of history to it and most of it is well presented and preserved. the older part of the center has been restored and most buildings look very good. the restoration was done with taste and respect to the original architecture.
in and around Plovdiv you can find many other attractions except for the center.
it was pricier than expected, or when compared to other Bulgarian towns (Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, etc.).

Barber&Cat was my favorite place – they make incredibly tasty cocktails, and the bartenders work with heart and soul. It's as if they can recognize your essence and express it through the perfect cocktail. Walking through the old town easily immerses you in the past – it feels like you're transported to another time. The high stone walls and steep cobbled streets guide you back through the centuries, where you can sense the atmosphere and spirit of the people who lived here before you. It’s a unique and energizing place that seems to carry you to another era.

If you like ancient history and long walks, Plovdiv is the city for you. If you are visiting Bulgaria or you are Bulgarian, Plovdiv is a must see. Start from the city center and go through the Old City and if you are staying at a hotel, I recommend the city center as well, so that you are close to main sightseeing spots.

Plovdiv is a very lovely and pretty town and there is lots to do. Many museums to visit, my favorite being the Bishops Basilica which is full of old mosaics that were discovered and recovered around 9 years ago, brilliant bit of history. The Old Town Plovdiv is simply gorgeous and is a must visit, they have lots of churches to visit and if you climb high enough, there is wonderful view of Plovdiv up there. They have the ancient theatre that is open for touring during the day but this is cash only.

It's such a beautiful city.
It's such a beautiful city. I recommend it, especially in the summer. So many things to see and do. It is a cultural capital, and that is for a fact. Loads of exhibitions, concerts, theatres and many, many more.
The city is clean and well-maintained. It has parks and hills to climb.
We were stunned by the ancient ruins, the old town and the Amphitheatre.
I highly recommend it for the price of the stay, too.

this city is a 1 day visit as you can see the park and the Roman vestiges very quickly. In the centre, they have amazing restaurants and one of them is Fork and Knife (signage only in Bulgarian) with a Bulgarian - English menu that I highly recommend. It seems overpriced until you taste the food. I had beef in a peppercorn sauce that was WOW. It's fairly easy to get around and very much walk.
Amazing location, right on one of the main squares and 10 min walk to Kopana and Old town. We were worried about the potential noise coming form the street, but the noise isolation is superb with great windows. The bed was very comfortable and the design of the hotel is quite interesting. It was a great stay. Hotel also helped with the parking.
New hotel, built entirely in the style of Revival architecture. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel also has its own parking spaces.
Within walking distance of the main sights of the city.
Continental breakfast buffet
Staying in it, the guest can fully immerse himself in the atmosphere of the old town
this is a unique place - very modern and eclectic design combining nature with progress in a traditional house; I have neve seen so much luxurious amenities in a guest house and even in a pretentious 5 star hotel; very easy check in and check out, very clean, the host was welcoming and helpful
The hotel is placed in a good area, 10 minutes walking from old town.
The mini kitchen had a mini-refrigerator, an electric cooker and a boiling can. There was also a minibar in the room.

The parking and the breakfast were ok.
