SpainEVERYTHING, it’s a gem in the Cabot Trail, we had the best time. Holger and his wife Betty are the best hosts taking care of all details to make sure we had an amazing stay. The hotel, the common areas and the rooms are so unique and the surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was a wonderful and delicious experience. I can’t recommend this place enough.

The location is superb - all the breakfasts and dinners with the view over the ocean and its sounds - is just so relaxing. This is definitely a very picturesque location. Grocery was just about 5-7min of drive, which had all the basic stuff you'd need. And also 0 light pollution, so you can see Milky Way with your own eyes. And if you have a good camera on your phone, or a nice digital camera - it gets even better. Sunrises there are also leveled up.

We enjoyed going to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.
We enjoyed going to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. It closes at 5 so give yourself enough time. Very interesting place.
We recommend eating at the Frieght Shed, service was excellent and the food was delicious.

The Auberge Doucet is located on a hill with a beautiful view. The sunset was amazing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We LOVED our accommodations, the quiet and the beach! Most restaurant food was very good. Loved whale watching and the gondola.
Would have like a continental breakfast as there were no restaurants within walking distance. Also, restaurants close too early and many ran out of food so decided to close! 150 people at the pizza place (because no place else was open with availability) on a Sunday wasn’t fun.

Everyone in this small town was friendly. Purchased some groceries in the small supermarket, had coffee and dessert at Main Street Restaurant. Would have liked to lunch there. Menu looked amazing. Got our lobsters at the wharf on Wharf Street.

The staff are so nice and helpful. Their restaurant on site was so convenient after a busy day, food was delicious. The beds are comfy. The grounds were nicely decorated with lots of places to sit to do some star gazing. The wifi can be spotty at times and is not their fault due to the area they are located. It is a beautiful and peaceful spot to stay surrounded by mountains. Very quiet. Loved our stay and will go back again.

It is gorgeous but even more remote than I realized.
It is gorgeous but even more remote than I realized. Options for food and bathrooms are few and far between and have limited operating hours. Plan accordingly and it will be perfect!
The Dancing Moose and the Clucking Hen were both terrific with the offerings and the quality of the food.

Good spot for sunsets. Very small town off the Cabot Trail. Therefore very few restaurants. They also close early in the shoulder season so good to keep in mind. The main restaurant was Belles and it had a good selection on the menu. The lobster roll was okay and the seafood chowder good.

The Cabot trail is a must see!
The Cabot trail is a must see! This time we drove it in a counter clockwise direction and it was spectacular!
We ate at a diner in Margaree . The owners name is Roddie and he is so interesting to talk to! Food was fantastic!
The only thing I’d avoid is the potholes in some of the roads! LOL!

This small town offers a lot for its size.
This small town offers a lot for its size. The Alexander Graham Bell museum is excellent, and a wonderful bakery is just across the street from the Telegraph house. The best restaurant in town is The Freight Shed located on the waterfront. The food is absolutely excellent and also reasonably priced. The Baddeck location is ideal for a home base while touring the Cabot Trail and the Cape Breton area, and the Telegraph House is the best place for your stay.

Good place to stay and enjoyed the view of the ocean from our porch. The rental had everything we needed to prepare a meal and shopping for food was enjoyable. We enjoyed a walk around the area taking pictures and a nice shop for gifts, ice cream and other goodies. Don't forget the pharmacy which surprisingly had nice gifts and everything needed for tolitetries.
